ordered the front bed support brackets for my Double cab. With the extra weight of the Alu Cab I want to make sure that the front 18" is supported and I don't have and issues with the bed cracking. Here is the link https://runnin4tacos.com/products/2...07-2021-tundra-double-cab-regular-cab-6-5-bed . On my RCSB I ordered a different set that had to be welded on and sat a little further back. Gonna try this set up and hope it helps.

Are there front support brackets for a crewmax/5.5’ bed? Or it isn’t necessary?

Interesting - first I ever heard of an 18" section of the front of the bed being unsupported.

Edit: Wish they showed pics of it installed. That's very expensive!

Crossed the 150 mark on my way to refuel. If my calculations are correct, I'm about 2/3rd of the way to the lunar surface. Need to air up my tires though.

Ordered min about 3 weeks ago and am looking forward to getting installed. I've got an OVRLND, so have the same concerns as you for the bed supports and weld. My welds havent split yet, so hopefully this will keep it that way.

I just watched the video and the price for that kit is highway robbery, two brackets and a piece of rectangular tube and not even grade 8 hardware lol

All depends on what your time is worth. For me, I dont have the time or patience to make the brackets, and it doesnt take much to buy new hardware. There are other makers of just the brackets that are weld on, and you find your own cross-piece, so that is another possibility out there.

Removed the bed decal and no ghosting after clay bar and compound/polishing the whole truck, definitely made it easier to polish being fully de-badged and taking the door handles off during the process and putting the new color matched handles on after completing each door. Definitely has a lot more shine than it did before, still have to seal it tomorrow hopefully if I have time. It's the little things that make such a huge difference, right???

I didn't realize how much I used the stupid thing in my '08 until I didn't have one...

Plus you can't beat $50 for one; nice find!!!

My 04 Ram had one and I missed it on this truck. Guy had it in FB Marketplace for 50. Didn’t even bother to haggle. I was going to grab it no matter the color figuring one of you guys could use it if I didn't.

I was pleasantly surprised how much better my OEM system sounded after I installed tech12volts amp. James was a fantastic individual and if you had ANY problems he was quick to fix them. Very good to work with

That's good to know, what amp did you get?

I'd love better OEM sound, not interested in getting new speakers yet

James is a great guy to work with, give him a call. Just be warned up front, after the amp you will want a bigger sub (he has them too) after that you will want better speakers (he has them too):);)

Do the amp and sub at a minimum...

The factory sub is in a plastic box and the OE sub is thin paper, so you get a bit of improvement w/just the amp and a huge improvement w/amp and sub.

Also, yes... you can find them for about $80 cheaper, but having it pre-programmed and pre-wired for your specific application is well worth the extra $$.

Plus, you get the power lead that runs to the battery w/in-line fuse/relay and the ground included which is usually about $35-$50.

:yes:What He said, it is well worth it. I myself wanted to keep the OEM head unit, that is what led me down this path. I have swapped the sub (still 8") and the front 6x9's and the sound is night and day. I will get the Sub and box from James when funds allow. He sells a 10" inside a custom box.

Gonna tackle the amp tonight after the kids are in bed and wife is at work. Have the sub but still waiting on fedex to deliver the actual box (just been sitting for a few days at nearby sorting center grrrr) so sub will probably have to wait until next weekend.

Need to swing by harbor freight first to buy some more plastic wire loom so I can make the wires look all purdy.
