I was doing 600 miles/day on the buell when i got it, trying to get home while being chased by thunderstorms. My trips to bahalia,ms were 900miles or so, but i didnt do it in my tundra. Furthest for me in one day was sa,tx to silver city nm.about 700 miles.

So you want to know the most miles in one day or what I average a day?

My commute to work and back is 30 mi.
Here to Amarillo is 630 mi.
Amarillo to Flagstaff is 607 mi.
Flagstaff to El Paso is 475 mi.
El Paso to Kerrville is 490 mi.
Flagstaff to Kerrville is 967 mi. That's my longest trek in a day. 15 hrs straight, leaving T2S 2023.

I’ve done over 1000 when moving back to MA from TX. Drove from Austin to Knoxville in a 14’ F250/F350 U-Haul truck. Left at 6am and got in around 11pm with breaks along the way.

    I wouldn’t do that on a bike.

I used to do 600 miles a day on motorcycles, didn't like it then, now I split it up over a couple days. Cars I've driven from LA to Seattle and Seattle to LA straight through a few times. About 1100 miles. Feel like the time you save in doing the drive straight through is wasted on how long it takes you to recover from the drive. I still go back down to the Bay Area semi regularly, and that's only about 600 miles and that's always a two day trip now, usually with a night or two of camping involved. If I need to get somewhere faster than that, I can fly.

The longest that I have driven was Albuquerque to Moline, IL going through Oklahoma City and St. Louise. That was about 1300 miles. That was the one and only time we went that route as we were seeing my Father-in-law near Peoria, IL. Normally we went to OKC and up through Kansas City and Des Moines. That was the faster route.

I have driven from Philly area in PA to Myrtle Beach SC and back each route in 1 day. Roughly 600miles each way.

Daily for a while, it was around 30 miles per day with occasional 60 miles.
BUT I did get a job near by my home which cut my commute to about 10 miles/day.

Now, since I now work from home, last time I checked, I drove about 1700 miles/yr.

Even after 19 years, I haven't broke 90K miles yet.

Los Angeles - and I don't think I did the whole drive. I think I tapped a buddy in after about 16 hrs. In a 1990 suburban.

In the tundra - 640. Allen,TX to Santa Fe, NM

Brooklyn NY to Gainesville FL I think was the longest leg I've driven.

But we took several cross country trips from Poway CA to Jacksonville FL and Gainesville FL in my first 15 years of life.

My family drove from Vancouver (Canada) to Toronto ON and then back (that was way back in the late 80's). I drove from Calgary to Saskatoon and it was so boring, the road was so straight and there was practically nothing to see. I think I could have driven all the way even if the car had "the club" installed. ;)

Just did Flagstaff to NW WA (1,400mi) in 22 hours a few weeks ago. It was a grind. I won't be doing that again any time soon.

Did this in the tundra last year.

    Screenshot_20250903_204423_Maps.jpg

Did this on the Aprilia in 22 when I bought it. That was not enjoyable. At all. It says 5hr42min, but that's in a car with one stop. I had to stop 5 times. Took me a bit over 6 hours.

Longest trip in one pull, 32 hours Reno Nevada to central mississippi, stopping for fuel and thats it.

Decent long pulls that seemed normal 24 hours, San Diego Ca to central mississippi.

Fastest long trip, central mississippi to Parker Arizona in 19 hours with a 79mph average. I got from central mississippi to El Paso Texas in 12 hours and 20 minutes with an 81mph average. The 300+ miles of 80mph speed limit running 88mph really helped, plus having 60+ gallons of fuel in my 2500 diesel with no trailer i went from central mississippi to Van Horn texas on the first pull, which was about 880 miles with no stops. Stopped for fuel and a fast piss and was in El Paso 1008 miles just a shade over 12 hours. After that fuel up and piss stop i didnt stop again till i got to Parker Arizona. That was a crazy pull. I will find the picture of the dash showing elapsed travel time, miles, and average speed. The ram digital dash has a lotta cool trip info. Gotta run will be back with update later.

I thought the poll was about how far I normally drive my 1st. Gen. Tundra in a day.....

Probably 50 miles max most mowing days. Farthest away we go mowing-wise is about 50 miles one-way.

I once drove around 19 hours straight (alone too) leaving Rutland, VT around 1 PM and getting back to Raleigh County, WV just as the sun came up the next day. This was in a 2002 Honda Accord. I didn't really get tired but I don't think this is the safest thing to do.

I stopped twice I think, for gasoline, once for lunch, and during one fuel stop I walked around an old cemetery somewhere in NY or PA....I know it was a town called "Maryland." Pretty neat War Between the States memorial in that cemetery.

200-400 for me. I'd be curious to see people's age, in relation to what their longest trip has been in their Tundra. I did some 12 hour drives in very uncomfortable vehicles (1978 2wd Toyota motorhome) as recently as...12 years ago when I was in my 30s. I'm in my 40s now and it's just not worth driving more than 5-6 hours a day. No matter how comfortable the vehicle is. At most I could see putting in an 8 hour work day on a cross county drive. Start driving at 8, take a 20 minute break at 10, hour lunch at noon, 20 minute break at 3, be done at 5. But even that would still suck.

Dirt Deeds injectors, Addco rear sway, AEM dry flow air filter, last ever set of Stan's Try-Y headers, Borla full custom exhaust, front level, wheel spacers, and lots of electronics.
My Tundra is mostly used for fun. It may only get 4,000 miles a year. I'm on the middle-aged end of the scale and have multiple vehicles.

Old enough to know better, too young to care.

while my truck will drive for 4 hours on a tank of gas, i like to stop every 2 hours or so to let polo stretch his legs in the shade if im driving during the day. He’ll sleep through the 4 hour trip to houston driving overnight.

Union mandated hourly breaks are not included in driving cross country. I am getting there as fast as possible, stopping the least amount necessary. Stops at gas stations are 6-7 minutes at most. Any more is cutting into my average speed.

thats the best part about google maps, when it took me less than 6 hours to make 600 miles on the buell, and nobody that was watching my travels knew i’d bought the buell, but they’d call after i stopped for the night, and ask if i was in an airplane. I kept telling then it was a nimbus 1000, but later found out that wasnt his ‘firebolt’ broom. So no wonder nobody figured it out until i got to pasadena, and grandpa sent a pic to everyone. That whole trip to my buddies wedding was the wildest group chat i’ve even been part of. I dropped out of signal for a bit and everyone thought i’d crashed and died for 100 miles. Buell doesnt have a gas gauge, so i just stop every 100 miles.

So running 110+ sustained? In order to stop every 100 miles, lose 5-10 minutes every hour stopping, and make 600 miles in 6 hours? That was definitely flying and pushing your limits on a trip to jail if you got caught by radar.
