Sister Lettuce was a member of the choir and during choir practice she was out singing the group.the mother of the church told her she needed to lower her voice to blend in with the group.Sister Lettuce did not feel the need do that and continued to sing over the choir insisting that the choir should match her energy. Its not denying that Sister Lettuce had a beautiful voice but the choir was suffering from her out singing them. When the choir director pulled her to the side to correct her again she said aloud, I don’t need them. I make the choir sound good.



Sister Lettuce was at work and her boss told her how he wanted something done and she commenced to argue with the boss. She insisted that her way was better and the boss stormed off in anger and disappointment.
His top performer would not take instruction from him. Her co-workers who witnessed the altercation told her that although she was smart and one of the best on the team she should be mindful of who she was talking to.
Like it or not he was her boss and had the power to fire her however Sister Lettuce paid them no mind.



One day at a meeting with the Pastor, Sister lettuce insisted that they meeting should go a certain way and the Pastor told her, no that the meeting will go the way he desired. After a short back and forth the Pastor said ENOUGH. They will proceed as he directed. Sister Lettuce stormed out of the office and headed home.

One her way home she got in an accident and was before the Lord. The adversary was there as well when God said to her. You did as your father instructed you to do and hurt a lot of people who were trying to help you. Even though you were in the church you was not working unto me you was working in your flesh.

All your talents and gifts, I gave you and here you stand accused by your accuser who was feeding you lies. Making you think you were more than you are. You deserve Death and I sentence you to MERCY and I will send you back to get things right.

The adversary stormed out and God allowed Sister Lettuce to experience HIS Grace and Mercy


After her recovery, Sister Lettuce sang in the choir and to everyone’s surprise she no longer had the main character syndrome. The Choir sounded better than it ever did. At work, Sister Lettuce humbled herself and worked as part of the team. she worked quietly and stayed late to help others. At the next church meeting Sister Lettuce sat attentively and when asked how she was doing by the Pastor she replied

Better than I deserve.
