You guise need to watch Dark Side of Oz. :boink:
Or the Wall the movie. Preferably both.
Then go watch Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Then Alice in Wonderland. :bananadead:

    Live at Pompeii is good.

    Oh and The Yellow Submarine.

I still want to see Rock N Rule.

All I can say is, "typical" and "try your best to resist the desire to behave similarly, if possible".

At some point, even when everyone else out there seems to want to be an entitled piece of shit, some of us have gotta keep waving the decency flag so that mindset/way of living doesn't totally die off. Too many out there living life for themselves and "fuck everyone else" these days, and it's spreading like a cancer.

In no way am I suggesting to let people walk all over you! If someone is asking for a punch in the fucking face, by all means, feel free to punch them in the fucking face. I feel like we just need more people to get back into that mode where we default to 'kind', at least until people show they could give two flying fucks less ... then their own medicine they deserve to taste. I think some people are just socially unaware nowadays (or just unaware, period) and not necessarily selfish assholes. Asperger-ish behavior is off the charts with some of the younger folks these days. And that's coming from someone that's probably on the spectrum

I think it’s kind of interesting that when I go for a walk, it’s only people 65-70 years of age or higher in age walking by that nod or say hi not even knowing who I am.

I certainly don’t get that from anyone my age or younger. Usually I just nod back and keep on walking.

I always wanted to go to the Pink Floyd Laser Light Show Spectacular, they'd put on as a kid, but never did.
Closest I got was drinking mushroom tea and sitting through the Dark Side of the Moon light show, in the planetarium, at the Houston Museum of Natural Science.

I'm really close to your age, and I nod, say hi, or wave as a default. Even though I dread having conversations with people, and that could potentially trigger a conversation, it's just the friendly thing to do.

I went with some friends and one of my buddy's GF was our DD. Before DSotM, we also watched the History of Rock... Wouldn't you know the most redneck voice I've ever heard called out, from the darkness, two songs in: "Play Freebird!"

    I died.

Scratched, perfectly fine functioning Casioak G-shock for free. DM me if you want it. I don't need it anymore, have too many Casio's and this one's totally fine. Would be an absolute waste to throw it away and I can't sell it for much due to scratches. Its only about 2 years old. I never have much to give back to our community so I'd like to put this one out there.

Edit: yes I have thoroughly cleaned it with alcohol wipes, no gunk from me.

We had the same thing growing up. Only difference is you couldn’t go through the front door or hang in the living room adjacent to it. The sofa and armchairs were covered in plastic protectors and only meant for formal guests for it to come off. :D

Man, sometimes you have a beer on the porch and everything is beautiful. Even if you worked all day and frustrated, grateful for the experience.

Alright you guys, I need some advise. In January I replaced both lower and upper ball joints. I replaced them with OEM joints and we went on a long camping trip that had some decent off-road trails. Both uppers failed on the trip, so when I got home I replaced them again with OEMs and a couple of weeks later, we went camping and they failed again. I installed the first set but making sure it was done correctly I had a mechanic friend help me out the second time but they still failed. So we then tried the TTX joints as they’re higher rated for trails; these I had completely installed by a mechanic. Well we are currently on our camping trip right now and the passenger side is already making noises and the cover is beginning to come loose. Would there be a reason as to why they keep failing? I thought the first time it was completely my fault but I’ve had a mechanic install the last 2 sets and still no dice.

Describe “failed”. They make noise? For 3 sets in a row to fail, there’s some sort of hardware issue, or install issue. You’ve tried 2 different brands and 2 installers. Something is afoot with the setup.

To that point, I could see a single OEM defect - highly improbably, but possible - but both sides? Then both sides again? Something else afoot.

x2 for something else may be afoot. I'd also consider quality upgraded aftermarket upper arms at this point for how you use the truck, and ease of joint replacement.

Maybe the ring that you press the joint into is failed? I've seen them crack before.

Beyond that, I'd love to know more info about the UCA, are they stock or aftermarket? What's the state of the UCA bushings?

Because I’m paying attention this trip I’ve noticed that the snap ring fell off this time so I imagine that they may have happened the last 2 times as well and with being in the woods the joints get dirty and end up getting messed up.

I’ve been able to catch them before they completely snap all 3 times. When I say fail, the first two times the entire boot was off and the joint was completely loose. The first time the joint was halfway unpressed, the second time the joint had tons of slack and movement and was coming unpressed as well. This time it’s just clicking. I put a new ring on the boot and put some more grease in them. the TTX are both greasable and under warranty so I’ll hit up the auto shop and get a new one to replace it. I’m thinking about welding them into the knuckle this time so I have time to diagnose if there are other issues.

I did replace the upper and lower control arms as well the 2nd time they failed because the bushings were spent on all 4.
I’m thinking upgrades UCAs might not be a bad idea as we are going off-roading more. I’ve used TTX joints on my last tundra which I took on gnarlier trails and they never had any issues so I’m thinking there may be a stress point with the knuckle and the new UCAs.

I went with the Mevotech off of rock auto. It’s not OEM but it’s a like for like style of the original. I have plans to upgrade the coilovers and UCAs to a more advanced system next year but I don’t have the money for the set up I want just yet which is why I went with a generic replacement when the bushings finally kicked the bucket. We just had a baby in March and he’s had to have surgeries so money has been tight the last few months and I needed to get the truck functional again.

I looked at the passenger side and the snap ring also slipped off. I tack welded these boots into place when I installed them so they’re still pressed in, it’s just the boot that came off so the joint is dirty. That makes me feel a little better knowing it’s pressed in. I’ll have to film the suspension while I’m driving to see if there is extra tension or stress somewhere. I’ll keep you guys posted on what I find out. IMG_3094.jpg IMG_3096.jpg

We got some rain today and I checked my cap for leaks. Looks like some water is getting in around the back window. The carpet of the topper, where it mates to the bed, is wet right there, and so is the bedrug. I think I'm going to silicone the inside and outside of the metal window frame.
