No cap would've been a more appropriate response. I'm kinda disappointed.

Why is it the people that have a remote job or even one that requires at maximum 100 miles per day driving are the most anti-EV? I am not even talking about people that tow on weekends or live in extreme climates. The people that go nowhere and even have a second car for venturing beyond they city…

    I honestly don’t get it.

There are 2 kinds of people on this earth

    separated by an unnavigable valley

    those that like EV

    Those that hate EV

    Ain’t no middle ground

And there is only one decent EV

all the others are gov mandated slag

I actually have a few ripe tomatoes in Rainbow-Unicorn Farms!!! Grew these from seed, got them planted a bit late. Planted some cucumber but those didn’t make it.

Of course, the tomato and zucchini plants are fighting it out with the flower power

    Slag. Great description.

Speaking of slag; just saw a commercial for the Hummer EV. $10k off msrp and 0% interest.

Just imagine the amount of Big 3 EVs that will sit and rot very soon

The hamfisted approach by government with their mandates turned most people off of the platform. Folks hate being told what to do by bunch of wealthy government officials who haven't worked a real job in decades and act as if we can all throw a fundraiser and suddenly have all the money we need to do whatever we want.

For all of the talk of Capitalism, I rarely see anyone mention Austrian Economics, which should be the underlying basis of Capitalism.

I think what he's getting at is when all things are equal people still won't consider an EV

All things will never be equal. EVs will never be as convenient as ICEs. Until they create batteries and chargers that can fully charge in five minutes they simply are lacking in road trip capability. Not only that but they need to develop batteries that are not affected by below zero temperatures.

:facepalm:Again, I'm only talking about when all things are equal.

Someone that only charges at home and doesn't road trip with it and can handle the range loss in cold temps.

I think i know someone in this exact situation.

I like my wife’s Rav4 hybrid quite a lot and we didn’t see any reason to go full EV.

We can go anywhere and it’s a good design that will last a really long time.

All it really needs is a 2” lift and bigger tires.

EV's should be significantly cheaper than where they are currently priced at. Electric motors are very simple compared to ICE. The fact that that a basic bitch Corolla or Camry can be had cheaper than an EV makes no sense.

Price em at $15k and folks will buy them in droves. You don't need any mandates or tax rebates or some sleazy clown in a suit to tell you that you have to do it.

I am also aware that the battery is a huge portion of the cost. You don't need lithium ion batteries for every EV out there.

Oh I forgot to mention this last part, make it look like a normal car and not something out of a Sci Fi film. I'm just trying to go to work, not drive the wastelands of the Mad Max multiverse...

    Yep.
(Big) IF the nationwide infrastructure is there for either truly fast charging, or 5 minute battery swaps, AND cold weather tolerance, I'm on board.

The poll: manny’s with peddy’s only. Automated manuals are worse than auto’s with flappy paddles. I dont understand why sxs’s are cvt. If they had a clutch pedal i’d have one.

Maybe gas pumps are faster elsewhere but it sites seems like my Tundra takes longer that 5 mins to fill the tank. So I’d go with 10 minute charging for an EV as a sweet spot. Which in my experience 10 mins on a supercharger with a Tesla does provide a good amount of range.

Been a few years since I looked but Honda Talons could br had with manual transmissions. Pretty sure the Yamaha sport SxS could as well.
