I wanted to start this thread to get help from the collective brain trust. My 2006 DC came with a cloth bench seat and I pulled leather captains (some might call them bucket) chairs out of a 2006 DC with side airbags. The seat ECU and wire harness are different between the bench and captain seats, so they are not a straight plug and play. I'm thinking as long as you get power and ground to the couple of necessary sources I might be able to re-pin the harness and have it plug in easily. I'm hoping for some input to confirm this and help me make sure I'm choosing the right wires.
There are a couple of wire functions I don't know what they mean and if they are necessary.
Here is the EWD for the 2006 DC. So far I'm thinking I need the (W-R), (B-R), (B-L), (G-R), (G-B), and (BR)/(W-B) and making sure they match up to what's on the truck side.

This is the plug for the captain seat harness.

This is the truck harness. There are two, but the second one was tucked under the carpet with the bench in there so I don’t think it will be used.

I took a second look at the driver seat because I wanted to rule that out as a possible issue with wiring. The wiring colors and locations matched perfectly what was already there.

This is what I'm thinking as far as re-pinning the (Donor) seat harness to Truck Harness. I need to double check and I'd appreciate member input.

Leave it to Toyota to throw in a curve ball when it comes to seat names. Their use of Bench seat for an 06 only applies to a Standard(RC) cab and they refer to your DC seat as a Separate seat. Makes one cross eyed as they attempt to follow the asterisk(*) Notes.

In any case, for your 06 DC Separate seat they use connector BO2 of the Floor Harness, with asterisk(*3) Note

The 06 DC Captain seat that you have, they use connector BT3 at the seat, with asterisk(*1) Note

Even tho I've triple checked, don't let my input sway you. It can be done but theirs definitely a lot of jumping around, with asterisk notes to follow and what not.

That’s super helpful. I found another post on TS where someone did something similar and made an adapter from the old wiring harness. I attempted the same thing tonight but might need to tweak the wiring a little thanks to your write up.
I used the wiring setup I posted above and need to check it again. I cleared the occupant sensor DTC I had earlier but I need to confirm it’s gone, which will probably be tomorrow morning.

Here's basically what I did. This is the adapter that someone made on TS. I'm wondering if the different fuse size; 10A and 5A, on the Black(Orange) wire (IGN) could be a problem. Fingers crossed the adapter works and I can re-pin.
