I am redoing my radio wiring as the previous owner did a butcher job on it. Unfortunately I didn’t think to take pics before starting. I have 4 extra wires and 3 extra shielded wires that I can’t figure out what they are for. All speakers are working (no center channel). I have a 2007 SR5 double cab. Non-JBL, no extra amp that I could tell. I tried testing if a wire was for the light dimmer but couldn’t get a reading with my multimeter when turning lights on and off. I also found an extra plug floating around behind the radio unit while organizing things.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I looked at the wiring diagram and there is shielded wires for a stereo jack adapter, but I don’t even know where that is (new unit doesn’t have an aux cable input).

    Alot of them
It's possible that the wiring was left there from an aftermarket radio previously installed.

That is kind of what I was thinking. For now I taped all the wire ends and bundled them together.
