Whit the navigation that comes with it, you have an option of choosing Google maps or couple others. Also got Amazon music up and running.

What does it look like at night? How do the lights look with the rest of the dash?

Also does the screen dim or offer a night mode? A screen that big could really be blinding at night.

 

i assume you also lose HD radio?

I'm hoping it has an ambient light sensor like most Android smartphones and tablets do so it automatically adjusts.

 

Did you get the backup cam to work?

 

No idea, trying to get that fixed. Also, no go on back up camera. I emailed them in the afternoon, no reply yet. Didn't have much time today due to Halloween festivities with the boys. I got everything working. Going to check out spotify and some more apps. I didnt plug in the orange box at first, and no steering wheel controls worked, but i pluged it in and everything works great. Ak-in-MI sent me some pics, im taking it out to compare with mine tomorrow in the morning. This radio is pretty nice though.

 

This looks amazing!!! One of the only things I wasn’t a big fan of the tundra interior was the factory screen being small and outdated. This will really take the interior to a new level.

 

Any idea if there will be another group buy? I really wanna pick one of these up but $789 vs $550 is hard to swallow

 

Got the back up camera to work! I missed the 2 rca plugs you have to plug together. They're both on the harness, so I over looked it.

 

@Berdine, at least they were labeled so you could enjoy a slap the forehead moment when you noticed it.

 

You could always make a poll to see who can commit. Several members missed the opportunity. If you get enough, you can directly contact the seller and see if they can have another group buy with a discounted price.

 

We need to root the unit so we can fix that atrocious verbiage.

Can you also check the OS version? Their website says it comes with Android OS 4.4.4 but I believe AK-in-MI said his came with 6.0.1.

Yeah, with no instructions, and mostly Chinese. I just assumed that was for adding a non-stock back up camera. Glad I got it figured out! Now to fix that temp -40 lol

It confirms that I made the right choice. Just waiting to ditch this Entune crap of Toyota's.

 

It's a pain tracking it. It only shows when it leaves port, no idea of it in the US. I had a note in my mailbox from the post office cause they missed me. Nothing before that stating when it shjould areive. On a Saturday, go figure, I had to wait until Monday to pick it up.

On another note, they gave me $200 refund for the broken tabs. So, now I'm even happier!

Just touched movies at the top, that one was only listed so I touched it to play.

 

In order to work with this HU, do we need the BT or Wifi version? Reason I'm asking is that I emailed the seller and he indicated wifi, but will the BT version work with the phone and mirror to the HU? Just want to confirm before purchasing.
