Post your Fishing Pics!

Our daughter is going Broadbill and Grouper (bottom) fishing in the morning. I just helped get her jigging rod ready for the bottom fishing and a spinning reel in case they see anything on top. I hope she catches at least one nice fish jigging on the bottom and hooks into one Broadbill?

They caught a few fish. Dropped three times for Broadbill but no luck. Three Scamp, a couple Bliners, and their two a piece Snapper.

Caught a big shark and a big Amberjack (not in season)
pictures will be coming directly, when she gets home I suppose. Long day. She said everybody was having troubles catching fish. It was smooth like glass out there and no current.

Two days ago they caught a bunch of grouper of different kinds, there was a decent current and although it was calm it was not smooth out there.

The girl in the picture with the AJ is a family friend and the boat captain.

 

Apparently a boat sunk that had 6 people and needed to be rescued by another charter.

This is a big Cubera that was caught out of Matagorda today. If you look close you can see a hook in the gills and hooks on the bottom. So the were bottom fishing with multiple hooks

Hit one of the local lakes today. These were the two biggest. Landed 12 total, all on an attractor fly pattern.

First one was about 24" long and pushing 6 pounds. Second was about 20" and 4 - 5 pounds.

 

Cousin and I went fishing for tuna last Thursday. It was a blast.

Only thing I like more than fly lining for BFT is surface iron for yellow tail!

 

Breakaway was boat name. I forget the actual harbor name. Huntington harbor...just asked my cousin. Damn he responded quick.

 

Went to the Canyons for an 18hr. trip and crushed YFT,Big eye tuna a couple of long fin tuna and some chicken Mahi.

I got to be present when the biologists at work did a fish trap and tagging. The highlight was this 8lb bull trout.
