I was paying $52 a month for 4 GB of 4G data. Just switched to a plan with 80 GB of 5G for $50.

80 GB for $50 isn't so bad at all. Better than $52 for the 4/4! Ha. It's like car insurance. A lot of folks won't bother looking for better deals for years. Great deals are out there. Lots of competition.

The interview went well today. Apparently there is at least one more.. so I should be hearing back this week to schedule that. Fingers crossed.

    How is everyone today?

In less than 3 weeks I'll be pushing off the beach for another run down the Mighty C through the Grand Canyon. I need to get some prep work done to prepare for the 24 days I'll be spending on the water.

I get that feeling all too well... Its been a shitty road so far, so this interview is changing the pace for the day in the better.

Hopefully you catch a break sooner than later.

These times are unlike anything before and the layoffs are still coming... it is stupid.

I think I'm going to start a new thread of the changes I'll be making to my frame and gear carrying capacity but here's a sneak peek...

I built some boxes out of king starboard material to help carry beverages. The inside of each box will hold 48 regular sized 12oz cans. These boxes will stow away 8 cases of beer and help me create a large platform across the top of the raft. Now I just have some tinkering to do to get the boxes functional with the Bimini.

Nice. Hopefully the last interview goes well and you have a job offer in hand soon.

Just adding an update for myself, I had an interview today that I thought went much better than the one last week. I should hear about a final interview in about a week or so.

It's been brutal this time around. I honestly don't think humans are looking at resumes anymore. If they are, they don't understand what they are looking at. Either way, adapt and move on.

She has her own channel on Sirius; Carrie's Country, and she/they will throw the occasional metal banger in there.

My wife used to work in talent acquisition. The most common bullshit was hiring managers wanting someone skilled in everything but pay entry level wages. It's nuts out there.

I can’t even imagine what it would be like to go out and interview for jobs at this time. The last time I interviewed was 2006 and I had to beat out 314 other candidates for a job that was more toxic and human piñata than I ever imagined. 314, I will never forget that number.

Now I feel like a misshaped octagon in a square/round peg world. I don’t plan on trying to turn myself into someone’s round or square peg. Time will tell if I can stick to my plan.
