Yeah, that sounds like it can't tell if anyone is in the passenger seat or not. Out of curiosity, what happens if you turn the passenger airbag off with the switch on the dash? Do you have the stock seat that you could pull the connector off of and double check the wiring for just the weight sensor?

That's an interesting question, but I don't have the option of turning off the airbag in the DC. That could be a good question for those with the AC.
I pulled the ECU and harness from the bench seat, but the seat position sensor doesn't mount on the captain seat frame, and there was a different occupant sensor. I think I can use the ECU and everything on the new seat, but I think there are a couple wires on the seat harness and truck harness that need to be re-pinned. Now that I'm thinking about it, I might need to double-check the driver seat to make sure that's not part of the problem. I'm trying to get photos and more information before I start a thread asking for help. Might prove helpful for others in the future. There seem to be a few people that want to swap bench to captain, or captain to bench.

Just got in about an hour ago. Tundra pulled the 2-axle trailer and we mowed two yards. Split our forces today (translation: wife weedate one yard while I mowed another) since my arm is still down with tendonitis and I shouldn't we weedeating. We used separate trucks but she was able to join me a couple of hours later.

I had some trouble backing the trailer down a narrow driveway (90 degrees off a single lane road). I think I have too much weight forward (tongue weight). I'm going to try and address that this week.

According to the wife we have lights and brake lights on the trailer but no signal lights.

Thinking about making an offer on these - based on everything I’ve read here seems like a good deal on a good 1st gen setup?

So I had the 06 re-tuned Saturday to remove the SAIS DTCs. I thought that would also disable it, but I was mistaken, as I have once again started hearing the familiar dentist drill on cold starts, after removing the Hewitt bypass. Scangauge has been in a perpetual state of "not ready", probably because the SAIS monitor is disabled. As long as only one monitor is not ready, I'll still pass inspection. I'll find out next week I guess.

All this is mostly to share that the SAIS seems to be pumping into the atmosphere, with the 00-04 style JBA headers, and the truck is driving great. No CEL anymore, no weird shifts. I think I could've skipped the re-tune and just removed the Hewitt bypass to solve my p0172/p0175 rich codes. I was just worried that would somehow have instant negative repercussions.

Chris did manage to eek out a bit more power than his first tune and maxed my redline at 6100 RPM vs 5800 previously. 5500 being stock. Even with the extra weight and bigger tires, I feel like my 06 would keep up with my 03 maybe.

Also, I noticed that before when the CEL was on, the truck would idle rough and shift weird, but when I reset the CEL, it would drive fine.

Anyways, so far so good. I'll report back in September if I pass or fail inspection. Unfortunately the scangauge only tells me it's not ready, not which monitors are and are not ready. But no pending codes.

I also greased the shackles and sprayed triflo on the uniballs. Front end is still squeaky but rear is quiet now. I got two slices on my thumb while trying to change the grease tube in my grease gun.

I actually drove my tundra. Still very rough in general but the suspension finally feels comfortable.

The chrome mirror caps on my truck were starting the bubble so decided to Bedline them. Not sure how I feel about the black mirrors but the texture is cool.

Those look nice----good luck on getting those.

I am considering new wheels, just because mine need to be recoated and I'm fearful of continued loss of hubcaps due to those plastic tabs that hold them on breaking off.

I don't like the chrome mirrors either. Were those ever available in a solid color?

Limited has color matched mirror caps along with fender flares. I’m not sure if it was an option for lower models or not.

My wheels are 16x8 with 4.25” back spacing. I roll 285/75/16 tires. I have about 2.25” of lift up front. I do not rub anywhere, but it’s close. I did previously trim the mud flap at the pinch weld area. I also trimmed the front air deflector at the wheel well edges before taking my front wheel spacers off.

It usually takes lower ambient temps to run the readiness monitor/test

Evap has been a PITA for multiple vehicles in my house, but luckily CA will let you pass smog as long as that's the only one that is "not ready". It'll take at least two cold starts before it's ready.

In TX we can have one not ready on 01+ and two not ready on 96-00.
I've done 4 cold starts so far.
The scangauge says she's ready and hasn't been wrong in the past. I'm confident y'all gonna owe me some $5 beer next T2S. :D
    I'll keep y'all posted Thursday.

You're already rubbing on the mud flap, at the pinch weld, here. You can clearly see you've been clapping that corner. My truck does the same, but primarily only when at 3/4-to-full lock in reverse. If you hear a loud POP or a clapping/slapping/flapping sound while turning in reverse, that's what it is.
