    :fistbump:

Not a 0-20 fan and this proves I’m not doing any harm running 5-30.

I was really expecting the numbers to be a little worse since it doesn’t like towing heavy with the 35s and stock gears - It was 2nd gear 4.3k rpm’s climbing steep grades for quite a few miles climbing and descending the mountains surrounding Globe, AZ. Never got hot but load was about maxed out and it was chugging.

I’ll probably test again at 200k or if I’m concerned about anything in the meantime.

Whatever you do don't post this over in the 3rd Gen oil analysis thread. Those guys have an engine that turns gasoline into metal.

What specific items are you most interested in when looking at something like this?
As in, what would be alarming numbers on which line item?

Anything near 10 or over on the wear metals would certainly be alarming. This also verifies you don’t have excessive fuel in the oil from a misfire/ignition problem and you don’t have coolant in the oil due to any head gasket issue.

The TBN essentially tells you how much life the oil had left.

Thought I’d tag my on with yours, AZ, as it’s the same year. I live in far north where it’s not too hot, use Mobil 1 0W-20, never tow

    Too many, but not enough....
In an effort to devolve this thread into another oil debate, what oil brand do you use?

    Great numbers.

It would be nice to see the analysis of a 100K 5.7 truck that had only used 0W-20 Toyota oil at the same oil change intervals for comparison.

I have only ever used Mobil 1 0W-20 oil.

I change at same intervals as AZ (5,000 miles)

I have the same year (2017) and miles (~ 110,000)

But I have never towed (he does)
