Thanks! Probably a 3in. Problem is he wants to still park in the garage but it won't fit with a 3in lift so might be leaning more to a leveling kit for now. Trying to decide on new rims and tires. Might have to go with same combo as my 4runner!! haha :ballchain:

    Welcome!

A leveling kit will still lift the front end by at least 2 inches. I'd say if there is only one inch difference between getting into the garage and not, don't even try it. You'll also get an inch or two of additional height if you put the same honkin' tires on it as you have on your 4-Runner.

Welcome to the forum. So you are modding your husband's truck? Maybe you and my wife should be friends, haha.

I don't mind out snow since its seasonal. As u know, sometimes we get 4 seasons in a few mins, an hour, a day, a week, or just as its supposed to be. I don't mind driving in the snow...I just hate the idiots you have to watch for.

Yes i agree with you i never understood why people couldn't drive right out there. Im from the south where it doesn't snow and yet i knew when to go slow and when it was just a light powder on the ground. Plus they seemed to keep it plowed pretty good on the main roads. but i still prefer to be in the south...without the snow.

    Thank you...shes my baby :oldglory:

I have a 2.5/1.5 leveling kit on my 2015 CM. My garage is standard - 6' 8" door height. My truck also has a Yakima roof rack, which protrudes approximately 3" higher than the normal roof line. It fits into the garage with about 1" to spare (maybe a little less).

Is your 4Runner sitting stock or did you have to put a leveling kit to run your 285/65/18's?

I have a 3in lift on it. And had to shave some of the wheel well so it wouldn't rub.

Coach builder shackles and strut spacers may be a good option. A smaller lift with bigger tires and still fit in garage.
