CF looks nice, especially that it all matches. Where is the shift boot from?

Fixed the fading/colorization at the top of my LED headlights, 2020 Tundra. Should have took a pre-picture but anyone experiencing the top of the headlight fading, looking colored, know what I am talking about. I simply taped off the top and sanded it down. Does not affect low or high beams and the top DRLs actually stand out more. The rest of the headlights have no issues so I didn't want to buy new lights for a minor issue. I am a little OCD and the spotty uneven top [part was driving me nuts. Much cleaner and even looking now. See pics.

Worth the upgrade even though your truck already had CarPlay?

found the secret 30” black steel and concrete pole on my daughters college campus while looking the opposite way at the campus police directing traffic on super chaotic drop-off day.

Get a new rear door for my prize.

sucks but wasn’t gonna let it ruin my daughter’s big milestone. To quote drew carey: “why make the money if you can’t enjoy spending it”

That sucks but great attitude about it! Surprised the step bar didn't block it more. Maybe upgrade to rock sliders while your at it.

Thanks - yeah the body shop guy I know really well and we had a good laugh about it. Just bonehead move on my part, but I didnt see it. Thought a big tree branch fell on my truck bed or something with the noise. Got out, looked for something on my bed or roof even - took me about 30 seconds of looking over the roof and bed of the truck before I even thought to look down at the door(s) - that's how well it as hidden.

Rigged up a phone mount in preparation for a big road trip to PA this weekend. I bought a Nite Ize Plus suction cup mount. I don't plan on using it much after the trip, so I didn't want to spend too much money on it. I used epoxy to secure the phone side mount to the case. The sticky pad on the mount didn't hold well on the textured case. The downside is that I can't use wireless charging, but I don't use that in the truck. I will switch back to my OtterBox case when I get home in a couple of weeks.

I put the mount on the left side next to the future home of a driver's side grab handle. The mount holds my phone and case well vertically (Galaxy S24 Ultra +), but the mount isn't centered for horizontal viewing, so it turns a little.

I also bought a 10' charging cable and routed it from the console cig lighter to the phone and zip tied it in place. I like that the screen is visible, but doesn't blank out my forward view.

Yup, the pockets are there under the stupid plastic covers. I just found the center by peeling the cover up and then started cutting. Like I said, they have enough coverage over the edge to bury any sins a slight slip of the blade might make. Mines a 20, I don't see why yours wouldn't have stake pockets.

My phone mount. It's a quad lock. I have the same mount on my bicycle, indoor trainer etc. so it just made sense to make one for the truck. Additionally I only place it on the dash when I need it which is not often. It's made out of wood, bed liner paint, and steel flat bar on the bottom to weigh it down. Sorry couldn't get pic with phone mounted as I only have the one phone.

So there is nothing actually securing the mount/phone to the dash? I can't imagine how that would work at all with the weight and leverage of the phone and with any/all bumps in the road. How much does it weigh?

My first iteration was just wood and yes it tipped etc. I added 1/4" steel flat bar plates to the entire bottom. It only moves on the most aggressive off road but then it's pretty weird I am using it then. Road, highway, around town, it stays right in place. Weight? Heavy for it's size, my guess is 3-5 lbs.

Gave Rotundra her 4th oil change of Mobil One at 23,546 miles. Also, gave her a mini-service in lubing her up, checked for any loose bolts, lugs and a general once over. Then I gave her a well deserved bath and wax. We've been driving on lots of sand beaches this summer and the truck needed a deep detailing. I didn't go too deep though, as we are going to the beach at AMI for a week and it's just going to get dirty again. That's what I bought it for!

Those WeBoosts are damn handy. Buddy and I were out in the middle of nowhere northern NV for some fishing, down in a canyon, and still grabbed 3 bars of LTE to message the wives. Interesting feature on the iPhone 14s and later is a sat messenger option when even the weboost wont work. Almost like an InReach or Spot.

Interesting fix, I like the look. Mine has a little bit of this happening. I just polish it out and it’s good for months. If it gets worse, I might have to give this a try.

Removed the oem steps. I actually used them, getting close to 50 ya know. I'm looking for something that is tucked up and in more, these just didn't look good. I like how it looks now.
