How often are people buying beds? This exacerbates my confusion at how many bed stores there are. Is it a conspiracy, or is there just something about everyone else that I don't know?

I never bought a mattress out of a box. Is it really that exciting?

No conspiracy, other than the watch that 98% wear while they are sleeping is analyzing their crappy sleep;

then said watch transmits sleep analysis results to said sleepee's digital platforms;

then said digital platforms encourage said poor sleeping sleepee to purchase new bed in a box;

then said digital platforms continue to reinforce the need and desire to have a new bed in the box by enticing said sleepee with discounts, convience, and a bed the color of 'Grimace' (seriously we can't make this shit up, folks)...

I'm just going to go on record and say that I wont celebrate any of the made up "national" days. Call me a curmudgeon if you must.

Yep. I sleep hot in ours too. Need the fan going most nights.
We're going back to a regular "sprung" bed next time around.

 

I'd say I want to know how TripleC took us to buttplug shaped McD's characters, whether from mattresses or any other subject...but I don't.
I'm pretty sure I don't want to know how his brain works.

I will agree on the name choice though. Whoever did that knew what he was doing.

 

I’d like to see no more National Anything Days. It’s turned into a giant me-too club where you are being insulted unless you have your own day. Snowflakes and participation trophies.

We have a foam mattress and like it. They can get too warm sometimes but overall it is great. I didn’t read my instructions but did let it off-gas for a couple of days before using it.
