Those track mobile are pretty cool. I would use one of those when our power was at maintenance.

I would load product from an overhead rail crane back in my steel mill days. It's so cool to see different operations and how people do some cool yet very important jobs.

    Can people get tours?

Never had anyone ask that, I'm not saying its not possible but I would say no, unless your there for business purposes. Its not that big of a place and most of the work is outside, at least for the shipping department. I tell people its like working for the postal service, only differenceis they get the major holidays off. rain, snow, heat, whatever outside your working in it unless there is a tornado warning then you have options:rofl:. Its amazing how much weight those trackmobiles can move. I know there is less rolling resistance with the steel wheels and the tracks but a loaded railcar is roughly 260,000lbs and that thing will move 20 railcars like its nothing! :muscleflexing:

I could only imagine how hot it would be working in a steel mill! I bet there was some amazing and interesting equipment/ machines in there!

It was cooler outside at 105*. In the winter it was freezing due to the amount of water used. Some of the old guys I had on the crew were tough as nails. Nobody messed with them 60+ year old guys. A few did and learned some hard lessons about gym muscles vs hard work muscles.
