I really like the shape and style of this piece. It looks comfortable to use and it’s great looking!

This is a New Zealand made Svord peasant knife. They also make a quite large version. Very large. Inexpensive, but has a kuul factor.

Thank you buddy. Doing the gut hook was a little tricky to get it even but I got it without screwing it up too many times. Ha ha ha

I snagged a Gerber Strongarm Camp knife. Actually made in Oregon! I was raised in Oregon starting at 10 years old after my dad retired from the USMC. 1965. Everything Gerber made back then was made in Orygun DUCK land then. Over the years I'd see Gerber goodies at various sporting goods stores. Engineered and Designed in Orygun but...made in China. SMH. Apparently the USA made Strongarm series is quite the thing now. Custom versions going for $400. This Camp version was $90. 420 HC steel. Not hi grade knife steel, but the high carbon content makes it great for a camp knife. Holds an edge and easy to spiff up. Very affordable for a decent USA knife!

Is that a type of cactus from the Arizona area? I only ask because my mom and dad had a piece of that i would play with and get yelled at when I was growing up. I had not thought about that in 40 years.

Yep, that’s cholla cactus skeleton, from Tucson Arizona. Stabilized, dyed and cast in epoxy.
