It doesn’t stop the flow to the heater core. It’s just in the same loop as it. You just bypass the trans lines and connect the hoses for the heater core back to the main feed lines. Do a search on here and you can find a picture of it. Very easy to do and very little coolant loss.

You could put a tee by the puck inlet/outlet with a valve to bypass the puck and still have heater return flow. Probably not enough room though.

I got one of the Innovates to work by doing this:

Oddly the other gives 22 & sits there.

    Configuring settings in VCM scanner
    • Connect Your Interface: Connect your MPVI device to your computer via USB and ensure your HP Tuners VCM Suite software (VCM Editor or VCM Scanner) is open.
    • Resync Interface: It's recommended to resync your interface in VCM Suite after connecting it. Go to "Help" and select "Resync Interface".
    • Add PIDs (Parameter IDs) for External Inputs:
      • Open VCM Scanner.
      • Navigate to External Inputs > MPVI2/MPVI2+/MPVI3 > Pro Link/Pro Link+.
      • You will be able to add the appropriate PID (e.g., "MPVI2/MPVI2+/MPVI3 SP A/D Input 1" or "MPVI2/MPVI2+/MPVI3 SP A/D Input 2") to view and log the external sensor data.
      • Configure Wideband Type (if applicable):
        • Serial Connection: If using a device like the LM-2 via serial connection, you can specifically select Innovate LM-2 within VCM Scanner and set up a transform function for accurate AFR readings.
        • Analog Input (0-5V): If you're relying on the Innovate's analog output, you'll need to know the voltage scaling (e.g., 0V = 7.35 AFR, 5V = 22.39 AFR) for accurate representation in VCM Scanner.
      • Add Transform (Optional, but recommended for accuracy): Right-click on the added wideband channel in VCM Scanner and choose "Transform." Set up a transform function to convert the 0-5V analog signal into an accurate AFR reading. You may need to create a custom transform based on the Innovate's specific voltage scaling information.
        • Example for Innovate LM-2: You could use a transform like "(input/68.05) + 7.36 = output" for AFR, according to the HP Tuners Bulletin Board. Consult your Innovate wideband's manual for specific instructions and recommended transforms or scaling values.

      Key takeaways
      • You'll be feeding the Innovate Wideband's 0-5V analog output into one of the analog inputs of the Prolink/Prolink+ cable.
      • You'll need to enable the Pro Feature Set on your HP Tuners interface (or already have it enabled with MPVI3).
      • Setting up the correct transform in VCM Scanner is essential for accurate AFR display and logging.
      • Innovate provides documentation for its wideband products including voltage scaling and grounding recommendations

How is it beneficial to trade in an MPVI2+ for a 3 for 399 when it can be bought for 399 without the trade-in? Can you not transfer the vehicle (s) otherwise?

The mpvi just reads the vehicle and communicates with hpt to verify your Vin. Only if Vin/ecu changes do you need more credits.
You would have better luck selling the mpvi2 at a discount towards your new 3.

Yup, I have 2 ECUs in my account thanks to getting the non flex. So I can buy the 3, sync the interface in my account & my credits will be there?

The ECU is registered to the MPVI and the account together I believe, getting a new one would require buying new credits even if it's registered to the same account. That's probably what the trade in is for, they swap all the unlocked VINs to the new MPVI, where as if you bought a 3 you would need to buy new credits.

Precisely how I understand it, but that's only from my time troubleshooting my own last fall when the ECU took a dump and we thought it was the dongle. HPT is... strict? Firm? Whatever you want to call it, they're good at making sure they get their $$$

Hmm. I must have missed it then concerning the mpvi. Thought hpt only meeded to verify ecu/Vin through the mpvi.
If I sent my mpvi to another user who purchased credits to upload a tune your saying I would have multiple Vins tied to my mpvi or would it even work? I'm confused... haha... thought you could transfer to another device but I just read it is on the mpvi. So I just learned something new today. And this post is old from hpt. Sorry for bad info @e30cabrio.

If you sent your MPVI to me, I would have to login to your account to get access to it, then pay for credits to unlock the truck with your MPVI. If I tried to use my account and add your MPVI, I don't think that works. So it would end up with two MPVIs (yours and mine) both with my truck unlocked on them.

Thanks. I read older posts and then re-read the mpvi3 fact page which countered what I read. So I guess I should read the most currently available info. Are you reading me? :D

I might be full of shit, but ultimately I thought each VIN has to be unlocked on a per device basis. Maybe best case you buy another device and your credits can cross share if both are registered to the same account, but considering on the HPT website it lists credits on a per device basis, and in VCM Editor under License Information it says "Specific Controller" plus with what e30 is saying about the trade process costing the same as a new device.... leads to me think my assumption is correct, you can have multiple devices registered to a user, but each device has to be unlocked per VIN regardless of account ownership. Plus you'd profit the most from that. And we know they're stingy about swapping unlocked VINs to different devices (like you unlocked your truck on your friends device, and then bought your own and wanted to swap the credits to your own MPVI).

I assume VF Tuner is the same process too.

I added the injectors and pump to the stage 2 upgrade and now I am interested in an electrical fuel gauge.

    https://www.innovatemotorsports.com/mtx-d-fuel-pressure.html

This one needs a 1/8 27 NPT port. Is any port in the factory fuel system compatible?

I added the port/sender on the fuel return line on bank2. I do have 2 feeds, one for bank1 and 2. But bank 1 with the cylinder 5/7 issue may be a better option. I just chose the farthest point.
The race tronix setup looks good for stock fuel lines.

Subscribed to the fuel pressure discussion. I like that innovate gauge, a lot. I haven't found anything that would match the SCG-1 as well. @Jego - might be able to get Jesse to piece something together for the upgraded lines he is working

There are enty of AN fittings for fuel psi gauge if your upgrading them. I have -6AN supply to each bank and return.

My ideal situation would be the innovative 4 in 1 gauge that also controls the boost solenoid. Have AFR, fp, boost, and then either trans temp or oil psi.

ECB-1 has AFR, Boost & ethanol content ECF-1 Has Fuel pressure, ethanol content and fuel temp.

I have both, the pro cable wants the gauge ground on the cable ground, does it make sense it doesn't like 2? I'm having a hell of a time getting this asshole to work

Finally got the damn widebands to report @snivilous l just sent a log!

It's 118, 30% humidity, feels pretty darn good, although idling IAT is 160/moving gets down to 122.

Shifting is normalizing. Had my first near full throttle event, I'm about 400 miles, hopefully it's ok.
