So on the 3rd gens tundras, which side is bank 1 and bank 2. I keep getting g conflicting answers. Some say bank 2 is passenger side, but normally, bank 1 is the side of the number 1 in firing order which would be the passenger side.

Bank 2 is driver side per my repair manual. Bank 1 is passenger side as you said.

On Toyota V6 engines bank 2 is drivers side, bank 1 passenger side. Opposite of the V8 engines of which bank 1 is drivers side (Unless you're working on a Ford) but I digress....

I just had a back and forth with grock.

initially, grock said the v8 on the 3rd gen tundra was bank 1 on the passenger side. After correcting the obvious error, grock insists that the v6 in the 3rd gen has bank 1 on the passenger side. I pushed back several times in my lack of trust. Now grock is very adamant that bank 1 is most certainly on the passenger side of the v6 3rd gen.

so I went back to verify grocks result that the v8 second gen has bank 1 on the passenger side. Grock insists the v8 second gen is bank 1 on passenger side.

obviously I don’t trust the result, but grock insists the v8 bank 1 is passenger side…

I keep getting a bank 2 wastegate code so I was gonna start digging into it. Now here's some weird happenings. You guys won't believe a word I say, but it's all true. I get the codes P25b6. Wastegate stuck closed bank 2. Been happening for over a year when the truck sits for a week, but goes away after driving a few minutes. Now, I get the code ONLY when the truck comes to a complete stop. It'll drive fine indefinitely until I completely stop. I reset the code, turn truck off, turn on and go and it's good again until I stop again. Now here's the part you won't believe........if I trick the computer to NOT close the wastegate at a stop by keeping my foot slightly on the gas, while im stopped, it won't happen, AND the code won't come back again until I shut the truck off at my destination, even when stopped. I proved this method time and time again. So I dont believe its mechanical because both wastegates are closing as I have boost guages on both sides. WTF!!!!!
