I went all through the settings and only saw 1 sub box to check in the menu. I checked it, but no change.

There is also a sub level, 1-10 if I recall.

Outside of sub toggle and level, only other thing I can think of is the turn on lead from the HU. Is your sub amp getting power?

I'd say it's too late to go outside and check but 1) it's the weekend, and 2) it ain't 1000° outside right now, so hold up and I'm gonna go check the menu and amp power.

Check your connections off the alpine, specifically to make sure you didn’t hook up the radio antenna instead of the remote turn on lead.

If you go to the fade/bal page does that have the sub box checked? But yes that’s the level he’s talking about. I think you have a power issue from your last post though.

The overall aesthetic and screen response is leaps n bounds better than the Pioneer I had.

Agreed - my Pioneer was hot garbage in a lot of ways. I still miss my Kenwood though. The Alpine isn’t bad by any means. Some minor annoyances is all I’ve ever experienced.

So I have nothing to connect this little guy to. There's a couple available bullet connectors they included in the dash cam harness (one says Bat and the other Acc). I'm assuming I could connect to Acc and be good to go? I'll have to swap one of them to male because they're both female.

@AZTundra can you post pics of your settings? I have very little sub out put and no rear speakers either. They are turned on and still nothing.

Here are the ones that might be of help. There is also a volume setting under function for each of the different devices, worth checking, but if you’re only having subwoofer issues probably not the case. Have you also tried turning up the amp gain? Wondering if the output voltage is different and requiring some tuning of the amp settings?

Can anyone assist with this? TGP is currently not understanding what I sent to them.

2020 Toyota Tundra with non-JBL amplified system.

    Pioneer 7600 NEX with MaestroRR

Rockford R2-300X4 4 channel amp for front and rear

    Rockford R2-1200X1 sub amp

Speaker wire from amps to speakers

RCA’s from head unit to both amps

Removed Pioneer and installed Alpine ILX-F509

Rear speakers and subwoofers are both checked to “On”

    Front speakers work

    Rear speakers have no input

    Subs are very very low.

No sound or EQ adjustments have been made to the head unit

    Troubleshooting:

Front speakers work with RCA in front ports on amp using Front RCA output from head unit

Front speakers work with RCA in front ports on amp using Rear RCA output from head unit

Nothing will work connected to Rear RCA input ports on amp

Are you sure you didn’t blow a fuse on the amp while disconnecting and reconnecting? Have you checked to make sure your wiring harness is seated into the amp properly? Gains turned up? And did you install the in line resistor for the maestro wiring harness?

The amps were not touched from the previous install. They power up, and gains are up. As far as for a resistor, it was the pre-wired bundle from Trail Grid Pro so I am not familiar with it. I spoke to Alpine. He said that since my front speakers work off both front and rear RCA outputs, it sounds like I lost the rear channel on the amp itself. For subs, he said I will need to adjust the level in the head unit.

I would check the fuses at the amp for continuity; may have blown. Did you disconnect the battery while swapping the head units?

That amp does not have on-board fuses.

is there an in line fuse between the battery and amp? I am obviously leaning towards this being an amplifier issue vs a head unit. When I installed my alpine ilx-f511 I removed the factory amp. I purchased a factory amp bypass harness to plug into the aftermarket amp. You know that the front speakers run off of the head unit, so the fact that the rear speakers and sub aren’t working well makes me think the amp isn’t working properly to power them or there is a problem with the wiring that feeds the amp and rear speakers / sub

Dash speakers are working from the head unit, and front door speakers are working from the 4 ch amp. I think i either lost the rear RCA on the amp or the rear speaker terminals themselves. I can check them for continuity with a multimeter. Subs are on their own amp but I haven't messed with the sub settings yet on the head unit.

So I have the older Alpine bass knob (pre-BT) and noticed that the head unit took a lot of the control away from it. My subs came to life once I started farting around with the settings on the unit.

TGP recommended the newer version of the bass knob because it will do overall volume and bass control.
