Android headunit, dead screen all else works

I have a sister company too Dasaita called Roadanvi, which I was referred too by a Dasaita sales person, I think they were running low on stock and asked me to get unit from roadanvi from aliexpress. Seems Roadanvi are no longer selling, as there aliexpress shop shows on vacation for more than 1 year.

The Roadanvi 10.2" car radio AI Voice Control android 10 Carplay has been working since June 2022 without much issue, if anyone remembers, I was the one that figured out how to connect all the speakers too the amp, as the 2020,2021 2.5 Tundras had a new wiring loom

This last weekend, i did a lot of track driving and maybe something got heated up, since it is the summer here.

I get nothing on the display, the touch works, as I can guess where the radio and music player are on the home screen. Bluetooth works, so the unit is getting power, just the screen has nothing, not even a pixel.

I pressed the reset many times, and also removed the fuse from the tundra interior fusebox for almost 2 hours.

 

Honestly, it’s probably dead in the water. These companies don’t produce cheap units by using quality internals built to last.

 

Dasaita and Roadanvi, head units that range from $450-650 on Amazon...both made in China. With the features available on these head units and the low cost, you can't really expect high quality and longevity. But of the 2, the reviews for Dasaita have been much better overall. I've thought about getting a Dasaita head unit, but I work in tech and would rather spend the extra money for quality.

 

I hear you, they are cheap and probably cheaply made. I would assume a dry joint on the screen power supply.

Is there a better android headunit that I can install any app i want out there, the premium brands don't allow installation any apps.

 

Do a search on YouTube for "2020 Tundra Dasaita". Look around at the different videos and you'll find quite a few different head units. Just keep in mind, they're all by China manufacturers. Dasaita and LinksWell seem to be the most popular
