Sure, I’m not hung up on it being a Pro. I actually prefer the hood without the fake air scoop. I just like the color matched trim and bumper. I’m one of those crazy people who would take cloth over leather seats. Especially considering I’ll likely end up back in Arizona at some point. Not trying to get 3rd degree burns every time I sit in my truck...

I understand what you are saying but the stitching and badging is just stitching and badging. You don’t have to agree with me but the heart of the TRD Pro is the improved suspension and wheels.

Ah, then your options open up. If you don't want leather that gives you the SR5 and it's various packages in voodoo. If you still want the color match then you're either doing it yourself, or you would want the TRD Sport package.

If you'd take leather and want color match you could get a Platinum, but that comes with the 20" wheels, and 20s are gross. :puke:

Yup, the TRD Sport pretty much gives me exactly what I want. They seem to be as common as TRD Pro’s as far as how many I actually see for sale. I wish the Voodoo blues were as common as Cavalry blue but if it isn’t going to be Voodoo blue then I’ll fall back to Army green.

I just see myself never being fully satisfied with Army green knowing I always wanted Voodoo blue. That color just has me fixated in a way that can best be described as "voodoo witchcraft magic"…

I prefer the lower trim packages, a little less than the Pro is fine with me.

In the 3rd gen I wouldn't touch the pro because I have zero interest in the hybrid system and the upcharge is stupid. Previous gen, it's really just the suspension and wheels. I'd only want it if it has the BBS forged wheels. They are strong, light, and look good.

Actually a downside in the 5.7 because it loses low end torque. I'd rather have the @dirtydeeds exhaust.

I'm at work so it's all easy on the neck. It knotted up yesterday out of nowhere so, while the headache is likely from the muscle tension, I don't think it's stress induced. I'm pretty good on stress right now.

Unless you already have two turbos in which case it becomes a little redundant. ;)

    Otherwise, completely agree. :burnrubber:

Yeah, but if you could get the 5.7 with a SC vs the 3.4 TTV6 there's only one right answer.

Logic dictates I must agree to this.
Can I have my 5.7 with twin turbos?

I don't know that anyone ever actually got a turbo to work right on the 5.7 engine. Can I inquire as to why you prefer a turbo to a SC?

I prefer my trucks to look slightly bigger than stock, but not enough to compromise suspension parts and geometry.

I'll likely never go bigger than 275/70 tires. I've got Bilstein 6112s set @1.3 to keep a little rake.

Just the way ME like it :fistbump:

    Personal preference.
Not an expert by any means. This is the first non-NA vehicle I've owned but have ridden in/driven a fair amount of SC'ed and turboed vehicles. Prefer turbo power delivery.
Also from the efficiency standpoint; using waste gasses to create power vs. using crank energy to turn a belt.
I feel SC vs. turbo is a potential can of worms on the order of Ford vs. Chevy. :notsure:

Now that I am back home, I can provide some illustrative examples of less than ideal Voodoo blue TRD Pro's currently for sale:

Medford, Oregon - If you have ever been to Medford, this truck won't shock you...

    https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/inventorylisting/viewDetailsFilterViewInventoryListing.action?colors=Blue&wheelSystems=FOUR_WHEEL_DRIVE&cabins=LARGE&searchId=c73b53df-903e-468e-a125-b7f4fbbe1891&zip=95401&distance=500&entitySelectingHelper.selectedEntity=d313&sourceContext=RecentSearches_true_0&startYear=2019&endYear=2021&hideWithoutPhotos=true&hideFleet=true&hideFrameDamaged=true&hideTheft=true&sortDir=ASC&sortType=PRICE&makeModelTrimPaths=m7/d313&makeModelTrimPaths=m7&srpVariation=DEFAULT_SEARCH&isDeliveryEnabled=true&nonShippableBaseline=0&maxAccidents=0#listing=411610254/NONE/DEFAULT

If not for the wheels and weird orange vent covers in the interior, this truck would be fine. Keep in mind, this was originally listed at ~$53k and has now been dropped to $49k. I'm sorry but I would still have to drop something like $2k on wheels and tires and I have hard time imagining a bunch of people wanting the current wheel/tire combo making them harder to sell after replacement.

Valdosta, Georgia - Successfull TRD Pro to hoopty conversion. At least it doesn't have the squatting dog look popular in that part of the Country...

    https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/inventorylisting/viewDetailsFilterViewInventoryListing.action?colors=Blue&wheelSystems=FOUR_WHEEL_DRIVE&cabins=LARGE&searchId=e6ba59f4-46ec-4949-a011-a87445e01eda&zip=95401&distance=50000&entitySelectingHelper.selectedEntity=d313&sourceContext=RecentSearches_true_0&startYear=2019&endYear=2021&hideWithoutPhotos=true&hideFleet=true&hideFrameDamaged=true&hideTheft=true&sortDir=ASC&sortType=PRICE&makeModelTrimPaths=m7/d313&makeModelTrimPaths=m7&srpVariation=DEFAULT_SEARCH&isDeliveryEnabled=true&shouldPersistSortSelection=true&nonShippableBaseline=0&maxAccidents=0#listing=420269611/NONE/DEFAULT

Hideous wheels, but wait there's more, lets dump the heritage grill and replace it with something weird...Pretty sure it also has an aftermarket lift. I wish they would have spent less on the wheels and tires and got something to protect the bed instead. It looks like a pack of wolverines had an orgy in it...

Not pictured are the ones with a snorkel, as if people are fording rivers in the outback of Australia instead of just going to their local Costco...

    You just wait
I have driven a handful of turbocharged vehicles in my time, and I think engineers are flat out lying when they post how much torque they supposedly make down low. Every single time a naturally aspirated engine is replaced by a turbo one right away people are bragging about how the torque comes on at real low RPMs making it "so much better" for daily driving but to me they just feel gutless until the turbo spools up.

Whatever this forum told me to do
    agreed.

    I'll give my $.02

S/C's are my choice for low end TQ.
    Trucks need the grunt.
most folks don't realize today's S/C's utilize a bypass at low engine demand.
so much so, you probably don't know it has a S/C on it until you hit the skinny pedal.

Turbo's will always make more HP.
    spooling is your problem.
engine mgt & design components are much more complex.
I'm sure you could make/design it grunt, like the new 3.4TT Toyota....that motor was designed to produce TQ with the turbos.

The single most important factory mod on any Tundra Pro is its bed stamp...
