I did a lot of work around the property last weekend. I still have the tractor at my house so I'm making the most of it while it's here. I pulled a bunch of stumps out and filled in the holes, then cut access to the back of my property for my UTV. I can't wait until burn season, there's going to be some big burn piles this year.

We have some really cool deer hanging around the house this year as well.

Maybe, but there is a 0% chance of actually being able to separate all of them without serious bodily injury.

I may try a "bigger burn" this winter
Looks like you could hand feed that guy, that's pretty dang cool. And convenient if you ever need to harvest any meat.:burp:

I started taking down a berry bush surround set up I did a few years ago. There was water right below and I didn't want to plant the PT right into water, even though I guess I could have. Anyways, it turned into some huge convoluted mess and a bit of an eyesore. Wife hates it.

So down it comes. I got 60-70% done today, I'll finish the rest tomorrow. Might try to reuse some of the 4x4's for railing posts on our deck. Then I'll wrap all the bushes with some netting this fall to keep the deer off them. Have some blueberries, raspberries and blackberries.

Little project this morning. Trying to keep dirt from tracking into the back of the shop (the most used door on the whole house)
Small pit, stone and drain to sand layer, removable commercial-ish fiberglass grate. Happy with the end result.

Addition: Forgot to mention, this thing is really stout and strong. My 225ish lbs barely flexes the grate, I mean like maybe 1/8". Initially I wanted to do a simple heavy gage expanded metal, but they wanted way too much for a piece of that.
When it comes time to clean/vacuum out, the stone may not have been the best material for the pit... Maybe some pavers in there? Concrete seems like too much work and might heave/crack through winter.
I didn't get fancy with the detail on the corners so there is a gap... I'm calling it a "drain way"

Need to get a new battery for my tractor. Went to do the lawn after work and I couldn't get it to start. My jump pack didn't want to kick her over either. Had to jump it with my Tundra to finally get it running.

Called a truck. Did a whole valley gutter from the garage to the house and a big corner slab fill as well. This was the small side, large side goes in next week. Moved the deck to fill under it. We get bad water ingress from the alley flowing into our property. Got tired of waiting in the City to care so directing it all around to the road instead of into my basement ha.

I’ll get more photos in months to come of finished concrete, fence, landscaping, gutters, etc etc etc. This winter is the interior gut… I’ll landscape any day over drywall sanding and hauling material up and down stairs a ton haha.

Finally rented a Home Depot stump grinder for 24 hrs and knocked out 14 or so 3-5ft diameter stumps. Used a chainsaw to cut the tops down to a few feet. 3ft diameters seemed to take 25mins and the 5ft closer to an hour. Impressive machine and makes tons of wood chips.

Curious, what's the angle/degree of slope from the structure out to the edge of the sidewalk on that?

wow! Our home depot used to only rent the little chippers, I ended up just buying one and have been using it for a few years now. They would take literally hours and hours to do the one in your photo. How much is it to rent one of those for a day? I have a handful of big boys I'd love to do this to, but I'm being too cheap to hire anyone.

All in with tax and the insurance it was about 400$ for 24hrs, a 100$ less for just 4hrs. Trailer and unit is about 2500lbs so anything can pull it. Used 10ish gallons of gas in that time frame which is less than I was expecting!

Crazy loud so have ear protection and something to listen to as it’s slow going haha.

Follow up on the home built photobooth project. It was a big hit at the wedding. Worked with only a few printer related hiccups. Owner of the venue wanted to know where I got it, then thought he was just gonna take some pics of mine and build one. Told him he could just rent this one and save the trouble.

What is fun about yours, is the style. Beyond being well done. A lot of the photo booth stuff that shows up to us now is open and not inclosed. Being wide open and infront of people I think inhibits some behavior. The inclosed space with a bunch of drunks ends up for funnier pictures and I think more fun for guests.

And its XL sized. We had groups of 4-6 stuffing in for pics. You can sit 3 wide on a bench in this one. Most have a stool and are narrow.

Appreciate it. It was truly a labor of love, as it was for my daughter's wedding, and she loves photo booths. I built it solely for this event. I would break it down and throw it away, or sell it and not care. I already got my use out of it, and seeing her, and the guests enjoy it so much was all I wanted. Guests got photo strips to keep and she also got a photo strip to keep from every single person who used the booth.
