What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Travis, if you are considering this for your truck, here’s a write-up I did, with some more pics. It sounds throaty and full, and I think it’s a great tone for the Tundra, but know that since this is a dump, it DOES have drone. You’ll even see that some in the thread added or were considering to add a resonator. It doesn’t bother me as I’ve gotten used to it, and I play my music loud. I hope this helps.

Added my toolbox and got the spray in bedliner looking like new. Also put my seat jackers in on the driver seat.

 

Also got the 2 front windows tinted Friday to match the back windows. Now I'm trying to decide what tires to get, I've ran bfg almost all my life, want something different. I've narrowed it down to either nitto recon grapplers or toyo open country at3. Size will be 275/60r20

I like how you have the winch mounted in the stock bumper. Do you have a plate on the back of bumper mounted to the winch plate for strength? And what size winch do you have? Any problems with that setup?

I dont know about the recon grapple but I got terra grapple g2s for my wife's 4runner and they were good at 1st but after about a year and a half the started getting slick in the rain. Never had toyos before. I'm a falken wildpeaker

 

I'm leaning more towards the Toyo's. I believe my local dealership has the buy 3 tires and get the 4th for a dollar.

 

Cleaned up the wiring in the engine bay after adding a new amp. Nice not to have it all attached directly to the battery terminals. Never done anything like this before but think it's all correct

Anyone install the Rago plate AND run the USB connection?
If so then how did you hook up the USB ports?

Are you running a switch setup with this? Looks great and very well organized!

 

I just installed a Victory4x4 plate and spliced in to the factory USB down below with a 12V-USB module.

Victory has a great install video on their site

Wheel spacers, spidertrax of course
Some AJT pieces.

 

I installed one earlier in the year and tapped into the outlet on the bottom right and secured it with fender washers underneath.Its not a Rago but maybe this helps

Did this today. Amazing how much a stall mat improves the ride of the truck. Suspension really likes having that 90+ lbs in the bed.

 

Not a bad install.You have to take out the radio and bottom panel where the USB plugs are located to tap into power for the USB plug up top if you go that route.I use it to power my dash cam.I used fender washers underneath for more support.Then ordered a dash mat off Amazon to trim and fit around the mount to make it look better.

Can you, anyone else, please elaborate? I ask because my Tundra originally came from Canada, 2017, if that’s relevant. Does have BSM and parking assist.

 

Thanks, SDHQ hidden winch mount, 12,000 lb warn winch. Been a great setup (used a few times). I installed myself, two people would have been better, but definitely a one person job if needed. they wint up in price since I purchased but was a perfect fit. Hope this helps.

 

That thing looks awesome! Always drive with my arm up on the door sill and it's not the most comfortable. This looks like the solution. Just watched a few videos on it and wondering, how well does it stay put on the sill?

 

Looks great - wondering what your method was to get the bedliner looking good again.

 

Mostly because the truck has has a topper on it for most of its life, but it was nasty as hell. I use simple green and a pressure washer.
