I have a feeling my trailer brake controller is no longer working. I used to be able to adjust things like gain before I connected and trailer and now that no longer works. I’m wondering if a fuse has been blown?

Yep I used that site too, I believe I found the fuse on my 2020 and it seems to be fine but I’ll go ahead and swap it to see if it makes a difference.

Ok I’ll look into this, I was hoping to stick with the stock one as I don’t tow very often but if it ends up needing to be replaced it is what it is.

I do have a question though. When you guys do not have a trailer connected to the truck does the truck let you adjust the gain? That’s the only thing making me think it’s broken but I might just be crazy. I just always remember it working whether a trailer was connected or not.

I am almost sure I have to have a trailer connected prior to adjusting anything on mine…..(2019 here)

Ya I think trailer needs to be connected. Also, my controller mysteriously dumped all settings once as I found out by driving and testing manual brakes and gain. Had to stop and re-enter everything.
