I did use the front seal and noticed very minor gaps on the low points of the bed rails. I don’t think water will get in unless it’s going directly from the side. I was thinking about maybe filling the low spots of the bed rail caps with foam to fill the gaps if it did wind up leaking

Did the rear differential breather mod yesterday, for anyone who hasn’t done it, don’t overlook it!

I don’t know what previous owners did with the truck, but my vent was completely stopped up. Hard to tell if it was rust of dirt or both I got out.

Fortunately, no axle seal damage I’m aware of, I changed the diff fluid recently, it looked great.

But there’s no question a problem was coming, I’m honestly shocked it hadn’t already damaged something as that hot air expanded and had no where to go.

Maybe it had enough force to squeeze by the debris that was clogging the breather, more than I could do by just blowing on it, but I couldn’t blow through it. I got a lot of debris out of that thing.

Really don’t have to buy a new breather, fits the 5/16” line perfectly. Even mine that was clogged up, freed up when I twisted it back and forth, blew through it, and hit it with brake cleaner, good as new now. Opens when I blow, closes when I try to suck air.

Just get that thing cleaned and relocated, too cheap and simple to avoid the expensive damage.

This rig spent time up North, while the front should be fine, I will be checking it too, just to make sure it’s not rusted up and possibly causing an issue.

Pretty much exactly what I ordered. Should all be here Monday. Will need to get the same for my wife's 2019 Sequoia, but she still has one more dealership oil change.

Was able to get my bed helper step installed though. Now I dont need to get a running jump start to get in!

Just decided to cut the old bracket instead of trying take the bumper apart.

I need to do this as well. I’m just gonna cut my bracket too. Maybe it make sense if I had instructions to read, but how does it actually attach to the truck once the bracket is cut?

    Do it! I recommend it.
Stronger winds comes out of the vents to keep the interior cool or warm. I’m really happy with it.

You unbolt a couple of the bumper bolts (actual metal bumper, not cover) and then thread those bolts through the mounting bracket back to the bumper.

Here's the rough draft version...I have a bed cover not a camper shell, but do want the shell eventually
Works like a champ with the magnet, and if the magnet doesn't work, I can bolt it to the plate if needed..
Clears the bed cover by about 2".
The cab doesn't seem to block the signal, my radio and phone both hooked up right away..
You can put it in the bed anywhere as long as you have enough wire.

With the increase in airflow do you feel like it’s noticeably louder?

No sir not at all. The increased airflow at full blast makes more noise then the blower lol.

I did the mouse-proofing today. I got the cowling off fine but ran into a snag with the JB Weld. Maybe because it’s 92 degrees, but 3 hours after mixing, the stuff was still soupy. I decided to use screws instead. One corner I did with JBWeld but it was dripping off, even at 4 hours. It made a real mess. Screws work much better.

Installed new license plate lights. I called Rough Country to get replacements and the customer service guy straight up said to get different lights, lots of them are cheaper and better. Got some Rugged Ridge & hopefully the quick disconnect is less of a PITA in the future.
