Truck will start fine for days or a couple weeks, then crank fine but not start. It’s definitely a fuel issue. Fuel pump AND Fuel Control Modules have been replaced. Very frustration. Just towed to shop when it did not start for 3 days and started when they took it off the truck. Started every time for 2 days now. Will definitely happen again… Any Help?
Add Fuel Pump relay to the list of new parts. Issue persists.
Nobody have any advice? Can’t believe nobody else has experienced this…

    To many to list
I have an AM currently having this issue with my 15', BUT my truck is also FAR from stock lol Like you I have replaced everything from fuel tank to throttle body and the current theory is that the tune for the SC has become corrupt some how so currently waiting for an opening with my tuner so they can retune it and get it dialed in. Aside from that even toyota is lost on WTF is wrong with it lol.... $7k into throwing parts at and TRULY hoping the tune is truly what the issue is.

If you're positive that yours is not flex fuel (engine code 3UR-FBE on the under hood stickers) then I would be cleaning the MAF, TB and having a look at the fuel injectors themselves for clogging, or leaking. When it doesn't start, does it smell rich, like extra fuel?

The fuel pump only gets power during cranking, and if it starts. Key on does not give 12v power to the fuel pump at all times.

    What codes? I had P0230 and P1640

If you look up my account, I've been fighting a fuel pump issue all year. Last week, I had my third pump installed in five months. This time, they listened and checked all the wiring to the pump and found that one of the connecters had shorted out, causing the pump to fail or atleast the signal to not get there when trying to crank. They replaced the wiring and connectors and I think it's resolved.

It was 1640 very general code. Interesting about the connector. That’s been my suspicion all along, some form of wiring somewhere…. Or the computer $$$?
