Hey everyone, especially those that have 2022+ Tundra Capstone. I removed those chrome inserts and wanted to show the community in case anyone has been thinking about doing it. Here are some photos.

Be aware I still have some work to do on them to remove the rest of the glue left behind. I hope this helps anyone who has been debating what to do with their wheels. 20250804_150636.jpg 20250804_150658.jpg 20250804_150732.jpg 20250804_150759.jpg

Do you have any finish pictures or shots of the process? I have nightshade and wonder why the caps are chrome

Hey, unfortunately I did not take pictures because I was in a rush. However, those pieces are attached with glue from like a glue gun on every point of those pieces (3 small dots of glue). I used a heat gun and plastic trim removal pieces. Some will get completely damaged, and some will be reusable. I imagine they can be ordered at the dealership if I change my mind later on. I would also recommend taking the tires off if you can. I did it with the tires on, just try to keep the heat away from the tires. If you want more pictures of the finished product and the condition of the pieces, let me know and I will provide them.

De-badged and blacked out Capstone looks great.
Was going to ask for a wheel "before" pic for comparison....
    They definitely look better now.

If it weren't for the Toyota center caps I'd think they were aftermarket wheels.

I removed my caps and had been thinking of wrapping them with a black reflective tape like I did the tailgate letters.
but yeah any other pics would be great. Maybe wrapping the backing plate would be easier

Thank you, I tried to make the trim more of a surprise because the interior is different. These are pretty fast, by the way, and they are pretty fun when you step on them. Also, thank you for the wheels; they are still growing on me. I put these wheels on because I have a road trip. The pic below is how she usually looks.

It took me a few times of detailing her before I realized they were plastic. Never liked them the way they looked with those pieces. A heat gun and plastic trim removal will do the job if you have these wheels and would like to remove them.
