Sweet!!! Definitely the way to do it with the crazy prices the "real deal" brings. Looks perfect to me!

Not sure about sunset mica or red - also not a big fan of it with white. But army green, lunar rock, MGM, black, the darker blues all

I have the real deal on my LandCruiser before the price got super crazy. @RobertD is cooking up some custom powder.

I read that the BBS Pro Wheels could not be powder coated.
Check out #12 under the FAQ from BBS.

    https://www.bbs-usa.com/faq/

[IMG] 12. Can I powder coat my wheels?
No BBS Motorsport product should ever be powder coated due to the effects the curing process has upon the original heat treatment and structural integrity of the product. Secondly, if re-painting any BBS wheel component, special care must be taken to keep all mounting surfaces free of any coating or paint.

Never said I don’t like the combo - there’s a lot I do like about it. I just can’t quite commit to the bronze over black.

and this right here is what keeps me from going this route.

This refers specifically to forged wheels.
Standard powder coatings cure at temperatures that range from 350°F-400°F. The time spent at these temps (Part Metal Temp) averages about 10-20 minutes. This is far below the 650°F needed for the aluminum to soften.

Powder coat manufacturers will always say, yes, it's possible.
There are also low cure temp powder formulations (~250 F.) that reduce potential risk even further.
Wheel manufacturers will always say NO, because the powder coating process is out of their control, and their legal department tells them to CYA.

My personal take for what it's worth?
It comes down to intended use.
Building a Trophy truck or super hard core off-roader? Probably not.
A daily that sees just occasional light off road? I wouldn't hesitate for a second.

Everyone has to do their own risk assessment.

I've powder coated 4 or 5 sets of forged wheels for street cars/ hotrods, etc.
    I wouldn't for a dedicated race car.

    I did the Triple Bonze

Just got my new tpms and hoping to get tires soon. Hit some bumps with life so tires are delayed somr but they will happen this year. Also got the bronze caps in as well. These are the LC wheels off @AZBoatHauler 's wife's Blue LC pictured above. She went to the bronze bbs wheels and I liked how these looked.
