Oh...and with me being retired I've lost some of that leverage I had.

 

While I suppose I could go back to work a few extra ponies is not enough to make me do that.
I'm enjoying the retired life.
I get to sit around and do what I want all day and I have a pretty nice Truck already.
Not to mention we need to buy two new boats,one for fun and one for fishing not to mention the Lake House.
It's kinda hard to whine when your sitting on a deal like that.
But again,I'm not done just yet.
I can usually get Her to come around to my way of thinking.....
Hell,I got Her to agree on the Supercharger...this should be Cake!!!

I've had the Blower for a couple years.
And it was installed by a very reputable high performance Shop here in Houston.
So at this point a tune has already been done.
But yeah,if I go with the smaller pulley and new injectors I'd definitely get it tuned again.
I really need to sit down and figure out the total cost of the upgrade and what exactly it's going to net me in total HP gains before dropping the cash on it.
And as I've said we're looking for a new Lake House as well as two boats.
So yeah....were looking at around a half mill in expenses.
And yes I did tell the Wife whats a couple thousand more in the big scheme of things....
She wasnt amused.

Perhaps I need to swap that order and tell the Mrs I'm buying clothes that come with a free billet intake.

It'll take me a few minutes, but we'll get there. Might be in the spring, though. I'll know more in a few months.

If you think of it, wanna get the scans you need to be able to design it? It happens to look about as tall as a Whipple, which is convenient seeing you might have one at the moment.

This is slightly updated from my original one off design I did a year ago, but visually will look the same:



It's cut from 1/8" mild steel, and is a light press fit between the shifter bezel and the center console, and then on the left has two plastic push lock pins.

This is currently version 10 of the new design, lots of little tweaks to get it dialed in with the thicker metal. But the thicker metal I have on hand, plus stiffens the gauge housing so I'm not worried about tying in the passenger side.



I have lots of options on the website, from flat plate DIY (cheapest) to bent/welded assemblies and painted, though those cost more and will take longer. The flat patterns I already have a handful cut out. They can be bent by hand into shape, and then customized from there.












I have some worry these won't fit all trucks or someone won't like how it's setup, so for the initial orders I dropped the price on the website. Once I get confirmation that this "prototype production" design is working and have feedback from people then the prices will jump up a bit. If anyone wants in on a discounted center console gauge, that should work totally fine, but may need some slight tweaking and I want to get feedback on, now is the time. If you're worried this isn't perfect, then give it a couple weeks.

I also got my first batch of Sniv Speed Shop shirts in! Once I confirm the shirt material I picked doesn't suck those will go up on the website as well!

Looks like its possible. Just re-position gauge holes. Some of the AEM x-series gauges are .2 inches deep with a total .82 inch gauge. With a 52mm face. Get afr and boost. @snivilous ?

Should be able to, the face plate is about 6 x 2.5, might have to cut out some of the console behind it but that needs to happen to run wires anyway. I can lay it out in the morning, the other option is to go wider and fit two side by side.

 

Ordered! I'll let you know if I have fitment issues, i doubt i will.

I got mine ordered but I'm probably the odd ball out of the group and will be using mine for bass knobs rather than for a guage. Love the design and can't wait to try it out! Like the idea of shirts maybe a truckers cap in the future?
