Wife just booked a RV site at Mustang Island State Park for two nights over the Memorial Day weekend. Anyone have any tips or recommendations for that area such as Port A restaurants, etc.? Lived here three years and this is the first trip to the gulf so open to ideas.

You're more hardy than I am!!!
I hate camping on the beach unless it's in a camper.
I want a shower before getting in bed.
It is possible though if you have the right set up.

Yeah...we have the same unit only it's a dark green color.
As long as you're prepared for the heat and sand it's totally doable.
Ya just gotta be well prepared for it.
We have a large custom made canvas tent with a sock and drawstring on it for a window unit.
Ya wet down the tent, turn on the A/C and you can hang meat in it!!!
It's the only way I'll camp on the beach!!!
Of course with the new camper all you need is the generator.

Love that I found this sub.

Anyone near the Houston area had their TRD Pro Foxes rebuilt (relatively) locally?

I saw four other Texas first gen bros this weekend. Three of em today alone. Been a good weekend, boys. Did some wrenching on two trucks (one was mine) and traded some parts.

I got a guy to n Kyle/Buda area that worked for a raptor shop in Taylor whose job was to rebuild and tune Fox raptor shocks. He’s real good and TRD pro shocks are a cake walk for him. Message me if you’d like his info.

    I've regeared to 4.56... twice.
Teq in Houston has lost my business for ever. They did a shitty job installing my first set and cost me a lot of money. Both diffs ended up leaking, both diffs ended up sucking in muddy water. They supposedly fixed the front diff, when I noticed it was leaking, but little did I realize that it kept leaking... Somehow the ECGS bushing unseated after Teq "fixed" the front diff. Eventually both diffs self destructed; conveniently right after the warranty ran out. Then after the second regear the rear diff started leaking from the e-locker grommet for the wiring into the diff (that Teq installed). They made the hole too big. Home dude reached out to me once, after he saw my post about having to buy new gear again, but when I got back to him with the numbers on my gears, he never replied back. This new set was by ECGS. Toy-Lex in Kemah removed the diffs, sent em to ECGS, and re-installed the diffs. They said Teq had set the backlash all wrong. Remember that noise we heard when you tuned my truck?
    Here's what it was...
    IMG_6022.jpg IMG_6021.jpg
I'm going to donate these broken gears to Jambo for trophies.

Brandin is installing a 1" body lift, hammer hangers, and a custom shock relocation. I'm hoping to have her back in time for Jeep vs Toyota.
    20250718_115003.jpg
Got some rear Kings to match the coilovers. Now when it's time to rebuilt the fronts, I'm going to have to see if I can have em add reservoirs. :):spending:
Plus we did the 14wa brake upgrade before taking her to 4LoFab. I can't wait to fuck shit up! :D
    20250724_193603.jpg
In hindsight, I probably should've went to 4.88. Oh well. I think a shift kit is in her future. But first I got a solve these rich codes. Might be trying to pay you a visit when I pick her up from new Braunfels.

The HEB in Pearland still doesn't have the Alamo beer from King of the Hill... But to add insult to injury, they were playing "Feels So Good" by Chuck Mangione! o_O

You got intake, headers, injectors, or anything else on the motor that could contribute to running rich?

Yes, to all those. Also a Hewett SAIS bypass.
I'd like to get you to disable the SAIS with your VF Tuner, then I can unplug the bypass. If nothing else, it would be nice to rule it out. I've read that it could be the issue.
