New to this lift/leveling scene. I would like to know which is the best route to take for a leveling kit. I would like to level it out without breaking the bank. Problem is I have no clue. I'm not a big off roader in the truck, I have other toys for that. What I would like to do is keep or make the ride a little better. My truck is more of a pavement queen and will hit a field or two every now and then. It will tow my Can Am and that is about it. What I would like to know is what kind of kit will fit my needs. I'm thinking something either a 3-2 or 3-1? I'm just not sure, what I'm needing as far as what kind of leveling kit to get (brand wise?). The ride is my main thing, plus the way the truck will set is the next thing. thanks for any info.

If you don't want to break the bank, and want a good ride, might want to stay away from spacer lifts.

Look into Bilstein 5100 series shocks or 6112's. I was very pleased with my 6112/5160 shock setup.

+1 on the Bilstein 5100's. I went with the front height adjustable shocks because I was just looking to level the truck all around and upgrade to 33" tires. I'm very happy with the setup!

Thanks for the responses already. Question though, if I go with the Bilsteins up front, what do I need to do on the back end? thanks.

If you do a 3/1, you can run a Bilstein 5100 or 5160

I have 5100's on all four corners. The fronts are on the middle setting which netted me 1.7 inches. The rear is at stock height. All around the ride is excellent. The truck "looks" level but still has a slight rake to it but the rake keeps it level when I'm pulling my boat. I think at the top setting you'd gain about 2.5" and at the top most add a 1" block to the rear.

Without breaking the bank, like everybody else is saying billies are the ticket, although they only go up to 2.5" slap on some coachbuilder shims and you're good. Could spend a little more $$ and get either Old Man Emu or Toytec BOSS. All are good options.

    Good luck brother!

I have the TRD off-road package and decided to just keep the stock Bilsteins in the back. In the front, I went with the middle setting on the 5100's to get a nice level look all around.

Spacers or 5100's? My local shop does not have great things to say about Bilstein in general but that does not really mean much to me frankly... Spend most of my time on pavement- I want to level the truck without sacrificing ride quality... 2016 TRD Off-road CM. I would love to go BOSS but with new tires and install that adds up to more than I want to spend right now... any suggestions would be helpful

I was looking at the rough country spacer lift for my 08 2wd. It's a highway queen and just wanted the leveled look. Just curious why to stay away?
