The problem first started probably a few weeks ago I noticed that the drive light wasn’t lit So until the new part came in, I drove in sport mode throughout all of this I haven’t had any drivability issues But I started getting the code P0705 For the transmission range center, so I ended up getting a new one replacing it and that lasted all good for probably a week or so. Then, every once in a while, when you would go down a very steep hill, the 4lo light would come on But if you shifted the truck from sport mode to drive, it would come out of it and go back to normal so I figured it was just a bad transmission range sensor so I ordered one straight from Toyota and fix the ground strap on the transmission that was broke and it still hasn’t solved the issue if you messed with it when this all first started happening the drive light would flicker for a second and then go back out same with sport mode. Sport mode would work now none of the functions work sport mode or the drive light won’t come on no matter what the “S” is lit up, but it won’t show you the gear And unlike everybody else who has the similar issue, my reverse lights all still work I checked all my fuses and everything looked great. I even traced the driveway wire from the transmission range sensor all the way to the computer, and I didn’t have a break in it just not sure if I missing anything any help is appreciated!

When you say 'messed with it' do you mean wiring? Connector? shift lever? Or all of the above? Seems like a short in the wiring, more than a sensor. Just my 2 cents.

Yes, just messing with the shifter going back-and-forth from sport mode drive to neutral seemed like it would come out of it, but at this point, nothing is helping to solve the issue.

Maybe pull the console and clean the contacts on the connectors.

Are you talking about the contacts on the little micro switch inside the shifter? I have the center console removed right now so the shifter is wide open just because I wasn’t sure if something happened to the wiring in there as well.

Yeah, that's what I meant. Must've missed that part on your initial post.
    Maybe a broken wire?

I’ve tried wiggling the wires inside there and all that, but you can’t really see much inside it. I’m not sure if the shifter assembly all comes apart or not.

I'm talking about chocking your wheels and turning on your truck while wiggling wires. I'd have my kid or a friend brake ride while doing it.
