It's still depends on eyeballs as the sensor and a brain to interpret the sensor data as good, bad or indifferent

Not talking about the subjective good/bad/indifferent. That was covered already.

The objective stuff like "is it glossy?" Or "is it metallic/pearl?" are where I can be objective and my subjective dislike of the color doesn't factor in.

I’m just busting your balls. I hated solar octane in person. My truck is fully ceramic coated so it really makes the paint shine. In that pic the truck hasn’t been washed in like a month and been doing a ton of work on my farm so it’s covered in dust.

I had a taco in spruce mica and loved it, a lot of people hated that green.

I thought that too. Probably not many allocated like you’re saying. Army green is sharp. Wish they kept that color going.

I wanted spruce mica! I hunted for a while when I was buying my ‘14 taco but couldn’t ever find one. Ended up in celestial silver and loved it. I still see some spruce mica tacos riding around and just stare at them in awe lol

SO NICE. The dappled sunlight is awesome in that pic. Makes it look like there’s camo on it! I remember finding one when I was looking… It was a dealer special though, with a lift and all that jazz. They were asking way too much.

I had a 2009 Timberland Green Mica Tacoma that I sold to get the Tuindra. I loved that color and I wish I had kept it.

Another excellent green. Toyota does well with their dark green colors.

Mine was a 13, plain Jane sr5. Paid 28k for it brand new, sold it in 2018 when I bought my pro taco for 26,400 with 86k miles on it. As far as I know it’s still in the Conway area of sc.

prime example, gotta zoom in to see all the purple, golds, green and red glitters. This color is insane in person. Pictures don’t do it justice at all.

My wife had a Truffle Mica 2009 Lexus RX that was like that. More bronzy that the Mesquite. But in the right sun it had glitters of multiple colors that popped

    The Dirty T ( ^_^)_且

When I was shopping for my 2014 I first went to my closest dealer. They didn't have the blue I wanted, but they had a mesquite, I previously never would have considered any brown color but was surprised at how much I liked it. If I hadn't located the blue one, I would have definitely considered getting it.

Besides, at least it isn't white, aka the slowest color ever.

Went from a Cavalry Blue 4Runner (loved the color and got tons of compliments since buying new in 2018 up until I traded it in) and went into a 2025 Smoked Mesquite Tundra and I love the color even more than I ever did the Cavalry Blue. And absolutely loved it….ha! Kinda glad they’ll be even less SM out there to be honest. Feel like mudbath now being available on trims outside the TRD Pro will make that color show its age pretty quick.

It is a beautiful color in the sun especially with the right package. Best thing about it to me is that it’s unique!!! Your truck looks great by the way

This is for sure. Just got a solar octane last week, every picture i take it looks red. It's definitely NOT red.

Spruce Mica is gorgeous. I wish they had brought it back for current/modern trucks. I think the 2.5 and the 3rd gens would have looked fantastic in it.

Man I would buy one in a heartbeat! My gx550 is nori green and I actually like that better. If they bring Nori Green to the 3rd gen’s……that would tempt me.IMG_9327.jpg IMG_9341.jpg

100% would love to see that.

My aversion to dark colors would probably still keep me to the silver/white/WCP as first choices, though. Really wish I had been able to get WCP or Silver. White was my 4th choice out of 5 colors that were acceptable.

I’ve had 2 white tacos, white 4Runner, have a white rav4, 2 white Cummins, a white dmax. Time for a change. White hides dirt well, but my wife and I are both shocked. This nori green and mesquite hide dust and dirt very well. We live in bfe on dirt roads and my main hunting farm is way off the paved road. Both look pretty good when they are dirty imo.

It's less the dirt than the paint abuse that pushed me away from dark vehicles. I don't hand wash (I don't use "soft"touch carwashes either), and dark vehicles show all the micro scratches.

If i were better equipped (concrete driveway, garage, water that wasn't as hard as a teenager touching his first boob) I could lie to myself and say I'd be better about it. Truth is, I'm pretty lazy and don't enjoy cleaning vehicles.

Most likely nothing but colors and zero fix on the engine hence more blown engines. Thanks Toyota!

Nori Green looks awesome...but so does the GX550 in any color.

I cannot (will not) buy another Super White Toyota vehicle. Unless it can be garage kept and paint corrected regularly. Was about to go with an Ice Cap Tundra, but quickly learned it was just Super White with a new name, so WCP it was.
