I’ve got the chance to pick up a TRD OR suspension from a 2024 for a really good price. I have a stock Limited trim. I mostly drive highway with very little city driving.

Is there an improvement in ride quality switching to the TRD OR suspension?

I believe the TRD OR has variable rate coils as the standard Limited does not… plus the TRD OR shocks are monotube, which rebound quicker in my opinion (based upon switching to this type in my former F150).

Thanks for the break down. What does that mean as far as ride quality?

I didn’t feel a difference in the test drives but the shocks do dampen out trailer bounce more quickly when towing… (the shocks on a TRD OR are similar to the ones I placed on my F150 before I traded it in). I’ve since installed HD coil springs on my 2024 Tundra and maintained the same TRD OR shocks and it tows far nicer, but with a bit stiffer ride on undulating roads.
