What have you done to your 2nd gen Tundra today?

just keep having more issues, I think the truck is still reliable but maybe time to switch into something a little newer... just stuff giving me issues cause its been worked hard its whole life ya know

I missed 150k mark with my tundra, but this turned up, so I took a picture of 150,150. This made me think, 150 twice equals 300. This is Friday. Is everyone very tired and creative thinking on hold today?

 

150,150 isn't 150+150. Maybe you need to roll your windows down because it's too hot in that milage maker.

He was probably 'hypermiling' w/o the AC on, all windows up for maximum aerodynamics, and the brain started to shut down

Do a Gen 2.5 for the streets (lowered, maybe a TRD supercharger?, RWD) and keep your Gen 2 4x4!

 

That's definitely what I'd want to do. I actually like the aesthetic refresh of the 2.5 better, but then I also love my '08 for a lot of reasons. Not the least of them being I found it 15 years old with only 74k on the clock and impeccable maintenance, and couldn't pass it up. So I don't think I could get rid of it, I'd just have to add to the fleet to get a 2.5 gen.

Now if you'll excuse me I need to go convince the wife that 2 4Runners and a Tundra aren't enough vehicles...lol

 

Found out the master cylinder is fucked so gonna ruin my days off by working on that
but good news only blew one fuse while doing electrical work on it.

We will have to do a meet up some time of all of us. We may be few in number, our engines may not be as big, and we cant tow as much, but we do have more room in the engine bay for activities(not much but its there)

 

mice had the same idea when they decided to make a home under the hood!!

Do you ever fantasize about having a bigger...engine? I drove my sibling's 2.5gen 5.7L one evening and every time I pass someone now, I have this lingering thought: "heh, might have needed less rpm's were it 5.7..hmm"

I can't help it now. My mind is tainted after that experience.
