Looking for some help as to where these rubber parts go. I had my windows tinted and found them on the back seat. They are stamped with 78R8D TPO & 78L8D TPO. I'm at a loss. FB_IMG_1753460868836.jpg FB_IMG_1753460865935.jpg

Those are the blinker fluid caps for the right and left blinker...in all seriousness I think it's something your tinter left in the truck that he used or came in his supplies.

Call the tinter and tell them what you found.

It just seems odd. It looks like it would go in the door somewhere by the windows. The R and L in the numbers make me think it's for the left side and the right side.

My son does tinting and I've watched him tint many vehicles but he's never had to remove anything from a door or back window in our Tundra's that would cause a part like this to need to be removed, that's why I think it's something the tinter left behind by accident

The writing looks identical to this part someone else posted on this site. I have a strong feeling it's from the truck. His ended up being a trim piece that came out of the front door when his windows got tinted. Mine just looks different. Screenshot_20250725_153116_Chrome.jpg

If they are part of your truck I would take them back to the tinter and have him reinstall them and watch them do it to verify they are reinstalled.

Those parts are wedged between the corners of door panel. They fall out occasionally when door panels are removed.

Do you know where I could find a schematic for the door? So I could figure out where they actually go inside the door panel? I've looked and can't seem to find one.

look at the left or right side of your window at the door trim. you should see a gap. I kept knocking those out on accident when installing my color matched door handles. If I recall correctly, you may need to pop the door panel off to get them back in because they slide in a groove in that little felty wiper strip that rests against the window.

Just to confirm, this is for the back windows correct?

I can't really tell form your pictures, but each window has two. one for the forward portion of the window and one for the back of the window. Those look like the ones at the back of the window trim.

Are these the ones you are talking about? If so they are installed. It is the piece that I posted earlier in the thread about another guy missing his. The ones i have are a lot smaller. 20250725_162152.jpg

Check the forward side of the back window. Here’s mine.

Look at the corners of your windows on the outside of the truck. If there are gaps where the horizontal and vertical trim pieces meet (ie. in the corners), I think you found their home.
