I'm going to purchasing a 2005 DC soon and am looking for floor mats that offer more coverage than the OEM ones. Does anyone have reccs? I've heard the fitment of the WeatherTech mats is subpar. I also don't see where Husky makes mats that are specific to the DC.

My WeatherTechs fit great. Can't imagine it being much different on a DC.

Oh crap. Another thread on floor mats eh?

My W-tech mats, IMHO, fit like shit when you consider the cost. Pics and more info in this thread which covers a ton of info on floor mats: https://www.tundras.com/threads/weathertech-mats-question-fit-correctly.69231/

My advice: Unless you like spending hundreds of dollars on something only to cut it to fit, or you have power seats, W-tech mats may not be for you.

My other advice: Buy your truck before deciding on mats. Cab type and options may impact you, as is evidenced by the power vs. non-power seat commentary I just shared.

My other-other advice: Use the search feature to help the community avoid excess thread clutter on topics that have been beaten to death.

Chiming in, I had w-techs in my GX and they fit well, but were IMPOSSIBLE to get clean. Simple green, dawn, car was soap, NOTHING got the brown haze from mud and dirt off them. Switched to the fancy huskies they don’t make for our trucks and have been very happy.

What's really sad is that I could have typed @shifty`s response nearly word for word. That's how often I've read it. In fact, I'm convinced that he has a folder full of pre-written responses, ready to go, because he has typed the same reply over and over again for those who just start a new thread and don't even bother to look. We've seen 2 new threads, back-to-back, right on top of each other, on the exact same topic before.

    Ha!

The dirty little secret is that you knowledgeable guys love it even though it can be repetitive and a bit teduius. Generally speaking, folks enjoy helping others. It's what makes forums entertaining and successful. Besides, if a forum was limited to original thoughts and one correct answer... things would be pretty slow.

I'd like to thank everyone here for taking the time to reply and answer questions from guys like me. Appreciate it.

    Cheers.

You heard wrong. Weathertech mats are DOPE. (Is that word still in use?)

Here are mine, in my double cab.

    20250316_192836.jpg

I went for the full kit: backseat too.

Careful though: if your grip assist handle screw caps fall off, they will fall out of the floor mats and get lost. :(

    Yup . . . ^^^^^ . . . agree with @Bought2Pull . . . . I have weather techs front & back in my DC and they're grrreeaat . . . (tony the tiger).
I track all sorts of stuff into my cab, dirt, sand, mortar, moss slime from the boat ramp, trash, you name it.
I dump them out several times a week.
I'll quick blast them with the hose, then a quick shake & back in they go.
Once a month or so I'll hit them with a scrub brush on the end of a mop handle w/ some simple green . . . a quick spray and they're like new again.
Maybe the complaints on the fit are from packaging, handling, and or shipping . . . not sure . . .mine fit plenty good enough for me.

I have those exact mats (color too). The front ones fit well, the back ones are a bit more meh, I'm not a fan of how the rear ones meet the door sill, I think they could have done that better, but overall, very good.

I will say that Amazon is sometimes incorrect on which version to get for the front. I originally went for front set only and they told me x version would fit, but they absolutely did not. Returned them and went for the front/rear set which had a different version for the front. Those fit just like yours.

I went to Weathertech's website and ordered there.

My truck is a work truck, its main job is to pull a trailer of lawn mowers.

The rear seat is almost always full of extra gear for mowing. Stuff like a cooler for drinks and lunches, first aid, socks (I change socks after each yard), extra eye protection, weed eater string, hats, gloves, etc. Wife has a big organizer back there. Rear floor is first aid kit, fire extinguisher, extra tire change tools, etc. Thus, the floor mat fit doesn't have to be perfect for us.

The Weathertech one will be perfect then, especially as it is one piece and covers the hump for the driveshaft tunnel.

I'm not entirely sure that @Shifty is not, in fact, a Tundra AI chat bot ;). Designed by the fine engineers at Toyota of course

Was wondering a bit about mats myself. I still have my originals from 2004
