2019 TRD Pro w/110k highway mileage and probably is due for some sort of fuel system clean. My GX46 is almost $500 locally at a Toyota dealer, so I am assuming it will be similar or more since larger V8.

My question is, is there a DIY alternative to having dealer pour cleaner in system and stand there for 2 hrs while it cleans or is there an alternative? I searched and could not find a thread on this.

    Thanks

Full tank with a full container of seafoam... 16oz one... not the big bottle, It unstuck my fuel sender unit, works as intended now.

@Viclava - the best fuel cleaner will have the additive P.E.A. (polyether amine), a key ingredient for fuel system cleaning. Red Line Complete Fuel System Cleaner is often cited as having a high concentration of P.E.A. Gumout (products) and their All-in-One Complete Fuel System Cleaner have high P.E.A.levels too. Seafoam does not have P.E.A. and is overpriced, IMHO. A better alternative & half the price is Berryman’s B-12 Chemtool, doesn’t have P.E.A. either. I switch between Gumout All-in-One and Berryman’s, I buy at Walmart. Obviously never mix different gas cleaners when refueling. Read/follow the directions and decide based on how your system is acting. Always add when your fuel level is down to 1/4 tank at the gas station first, then pump the gas slowly. Do some research and make your own decision. Scroll through Project Farm’s YouTube channel. Checkout the fuel cleaners and fuel additives videos. Real time comparison experiments. They’re awesome!

^^^^^This right here. Gumout and Red Line Complete Fuel System Cleaner both have that all important P.E.A. component

I'm not in the camp of using fuel system cleaners if you are not having any problems. I only fuel up with Top Tier gas which is supposed to have the best additives in it. I can attest to B12 working great on my motorcycle with 6 carbs when I was having an issue after it sitting over the winter.
