Am I insane for considering paying 23K for a 05 DC?

^^^^ Don't see that low mileage very often. Nice.

In context of the OP... I think the guy who buys a new truck then drives it 40k miles over the next quarter century is the guy who paid too much. Just sayin'.

Lots of good comments on this post to make a man think. I think the guy who pays $27K for a Rolex GMT Master II on a jubilee band via the grey market (because I’m not rich and powerful enough to be on the Authorized Dealer sell list) is the guy who paid too much. But I sure would like to add one to my bucket list. I guess everything is relative these days. I just paid $139.99 yesterday for a year of YouTube Premium. I figured as much YouTube as I watch and the # of years I have left on Earth, my time is precious and I don’t want to waste time watching advertisements. Besides, I’m pretty sure I’m autistic and advertisements cause me major anxiety when I’m watching something of interest.

I agree. If it's of value to you... that's what matters.

We all want a so-called 'good deal', but if a a new Corvette was offered to me for a dollar I wouldn't buy it if I had to drive it. Don't want to climb in and out of the damn thing.

You mentioned a Rolex. I wouldn't wear one. Doesn't do anything more for me than a $10 Timex. On the other hand, I find the features on my AppleWatch quite useful and convenient.

    Cheers.

Firefox + uBlock = no ads. I used to have no ads on YouTube on my Xbox but they just started on day so I just watch on my PC now.

Age is a huge factor. Here in Texas we don't have to worry about rust, but the heat absolutely kills rubber everything. I have a 2008 Honda Odyssey EXL I bought brand new when my kids were young. Now, with 213,000'ish miles and now being driven by my oldest daughter with her young family, I helped them with about a $2,200 bill due to literally all the rubber hoses needing to be replaced. There was steering fluid, coolant, and a few other fluids leaking do to the rubber tubes all cracked and rotted. I literally told Honda to replace every piece of rubber on the engine which is why it was $2,200 but it was worth it. The van was back to tip top shape and zero cost to them.

So, check all the rubber if you had not already.

BTW…. I used the term autistic because I hate noise like fireworks, etc… but I may have ADHD, PTSD… who knows.. I just like watching TV, etc… without distractions. I also like buying a really good truck that has good bones and making it as solid as can be. I’m sure some of you can relate.

One of these days someone with a 3d print farm will find this untapped market and make a fortune printing out plastic bits. Not just doodads to stick in the ashtrays, but real stuff like interior door handles and their surrounds, or center console lids.

Okay... so prior to bidding you discover that the gorgeous Tundra with 40k miles linked earlier was used solely to pull a 9k lb trailer in the mountains to a cabin a few times a year. What's your bid now?

OK. This one has some questionable upgrade decisions. It's a relatively low optioned model. Low mileage, that's mostly good. Obligatory rear bumper dent, on a $28k truck? Appears to have aftermarket head lamps. Door sticker may show signs of a repaint, or just a fuzzy picture, unsure. Arroyos are also budget tires, not appropriate for a $28k asking either.

    SPACER LIFT???? AT $28k???

Whenever I see dents/things like that, I always ask about them and I feel they think I'm an asshole - I always get the we know it's a 20+year old truck. But we are losing money on this sale as you can see in the cost on our website..... lol

Ah, so it’s the Rough Country special eh? Cheapest lift possible. I’m not in a place that’s easy to view pics, but the description sounds like it’s the case. As it is, I don’t think I’d want to buy vehicles from a company called “MM Investment Cars” anyway. They literally tell you what they’re doing in the name. It’s an investment, buy low sell high. Guess who eats shit in that equation?

I love how these over priced trucks keep popping up around the greater PDX area. We have sooo many sketchy used car lots around here. My guess from what I see at all the other places is that truck got traded in at a dealership, dealership didn't want anything to do with it. The used car place probably bought it at auction, pressure washed everything before photographing it, and now wants to make way too much money off of it. Also there's probably something wrong with it that they're hoping won't pop up in the first 3 months/3K miles.

Portland area is home to the ridiculously priced Tundra. Just ask the folks over at Jordan Motorsports.

That's like 20 minutes from me. Our used car lots around here are full of these trucks. Giant shitty lift kits, cheap ass tires, asking way too much money. Apparently there are still enough idiots here that can still get 84 month loans that they do sell.

Exact same operation as this MM Investments. Cheap lifts, cheap tires, new Movotec parts. All trash just to turn a profit and rip off an unsuspecting buyer.
