    Good Morning Jim!
Good Morning Sam! I'm glad your back is feeling better!
    Good Morning Bill!
Good Morning Chris! I would not have said this when I was 20, but there are a lot of worse options than a military career.

Good Morning Matt, Bayou, Bree, Kyle, Casey, Rafael, Andy, Mike, Travis, Rafael, Adam, and all the rest of y'all!

Trying to feel better. Now I'm hacking this crap up to get it out of my body.

Being sick in the summer is the worst. Heal up quickly Kelly.

I didn't recommend a career in the military unless it's a very specialized field with huge incentives to stay in. The military isn't what it once was...that's for sure.

I watch a local traffic site that individuals load up information/photos to help navigate the city roads.

Last year we had a record amount of motorcyclists die on our Colorado roads. This year isn't an improvement.

I always have that wonder if I will know someone that is injured or killed and that day was today. I seen the post from yesterday not knowing who it was.

    IMG_8595.jpg IMG_8594.jpg IMG_8593.jpg

Today I found out one of my daughter's friend's older brother was in a horrific accident that matched the description. Sure was. Lucky for him, after his 100 yard Superman flying lesson he landed in grass/dirt. He broke both feet, and shattered at least one ankle. He made it through surgery and is recovering.

    Some takeaways:

The only reason he is alive is good riding gear (needs to learn how to put riding boots on though), a huge amount of grace from above, some unused dumb luck, and a rather soft grassy landing.

I'm happy that he made it and hopefully has learned some of those hard life lessons. This family has an issue with speed and reckless driving. My daughter is forbidden from even stepping foot in her car (or pretty much anyone's in that family).

Slow down on city streets. Where this crash happened was 65 mph and he was doing over 100 mph and clipped the side of a truck. I have heard his sister talking about his riding and 130 mph+ was not uncommon. Ride smarter and live to ride tomorrow.

Hate to hear about this. In my younger years I had a couple dirt bikes. Rode on the logging roads. I never ever considered a street bike. A good friend's father got t-boned. Took him 4 months to die in the hospital. Prolly 45. Too many bad drivers out there. Doesn’t matter how good of a rider you are. Sorry..

Wow. Thank God his still alive.
On my way home today a motorcycle past me doing 100mph+, barely seen him in my side mirror, and his shirt was flying so high I could see his whole back like his was shirtless. Maybe my dash cam was able to catch him for the half second he was there.
