Runs fine with tac holding about 1/2 way to 1k which is normal for this truck.
Was driving fine until stopping for a light when it did not want to stop, had to press break hard until she stalled. From there it starts right up but hard stalls the second you feel tranny kick in, be it forward or reverse.
I found that is I stall it a few times in reverse, it will let me go forward though reluctantly at first but then does fine as long as I do not hit the breaks. It will down shift up shift no issues. But hit the breaks and it just wants to keep going until it stalls.
From what I have read it seems to be the tcc solenoid but my book does not go into that.
So before I go knocking the pan off, any checks that could be performed such as is there any external connections and is there any way to check cooling lines for blockages.

In the FSM they talk about TCC(torque converter clutch). If you turn OD off, do you have same results ? Deep into transmission problems is not in my wheel house but there’s a number of checks/symptoms mentioned in FSM.

The wires tend to rub out where the button's wires pass out of the shift lever tube into the column anyway.
