Any recommendations for aftermarket taillights? Had a deer run into the side today, couple dents and broke the passenger taillight. May just get some aftermarket ones instead of OEM or paying my premium.

I'd give you a deal on th we passenger if you were in the Dallas TX area. I just installed the Aplharex taillight. I would either go with throttle Aplharex or the Form taillights. Thr Anzo don't work with the factory sequential taillights

Yeah, kind of the way I'm leaning. Pair of smoked ones would look good with the blueprint color too.

Thanks, I am actually in the UP of Michigan so close to as far as possible haha. If I decide to go that route maybe we can work out a deal somehow.

The form and alpharex were the two I was looking at. Never heard of form so curious on quality.

What color alphas did you get? I see they have 3 options.

Went with the Aplablack. I caught it on sale 650$$. That color is the most popular. I was going to go with the red to match my red mud flaps.

    Here is one. https://eliteracefab.com/products/a...J8OrsN8oSbYx-MHcRg6ikIWK0G0mlP8xoCihoQAvD_BwE

I have the form lighting ones in smoke.
Happy with them by and large but I did have two gripes.
    1. The oem bolts were too short so I had to use longer ones to secure them properly
    2. The side placards (like where the tailgate button would go) are cheap AF and we’re a bit warped so I swapped over the oem ones from my sequential lights instead

Thank you, those may be the ones I end up going with. Just sort of going between the smoked forms, and the alpha black or regular black alpha Rex.

Those look great. Thanks for the pic. Helps a bunch.

Actually looking at the taillight now, it looks like the side placard piece whatchamacallit, is the only thing that broke. I wonder how hard it is to source one of those.

But, could still use it as a good excuse too get some new smoke ones lol.

Those are fairly cheap to be honest. Should be able to source from eBay or the dealer.

Got mine from OFFROADUSA which they were shipped straight from guessing Alpharex. They were on backorder

Dumb question but the 3rd gen has been out for some time now,and maybe a call to a couple of scrap yards may have them for a "reasonable" price.

Also, I had noticed the quarter panel on top where the light and metal meet theres some folding,I hope that it doesn't restrict the new light assembly...

Form lighting with red lenses is what I just put in and they have built in side marker lights as well as back up light and are sequential and went also with backup lights and running lights. No problem seeing with the backup camera now. 2yr warranty

Right on guys. I'll look through my options here.
There is a small dent in the upper quarter where the light meets the sheet metal, also one where the front and rear doors meet. Really, got lucky for the most part, pretty little damage.

Gonna see how much Paintless dent repair may be and go from there.

Anyone know what the actual name of that piece of taillight is?

Still leaning going smoked aftermarket cause it would look cool lol.

If you get time and the ambition, could you post of a pic of the alpha black ones? On there site is hard to tell the difference between the black and alphablack, thanks!

Good call on the scrap yards. I'll have to call around.
