HELP on road trip: Adaptive cruise control randomly shuts off

    Hello, cruise control engages, but it will just randomly shut off and throw the error message. I notice it happens especially when coming up on vehicles. Doesn't do it all the time, but probably shut it's self off 12 times on my first 300 mile leg.

    I know I can disable adaptive, but I do love how it works. Anybody encounter this?

    Have you tried cleaning off the sensor?? It's the one behind the grill, which will get obliterated with dirt or bugs and not function correctly...

    Also, fog and other weather based issues such as rain, snow, ice, etc. can cause that system to be quite quirky...

    I work in dustville. I think our warehouse yard creates all the dust in America. And distributes it around

    my sensor is always needing a cleaning

    I cleaned the outside emblem area, so do I need to pull the grill and clean behind it too?
