The UP is still on our list to visit. I really like visiting my wife's family in Michigan. If not for the salt on the roads for months, I'd live there.

Driving on the sand dunes along Lake Michigan was an unexpected favorite. I wouldn't do it again on a holiday though.

That topper looks perfect on that truck. Those are my favorite wheels too.

6112s up front w/ 650 lb springs, 5160s in the rear, JBA UCAs, Suspension Maxx Links, ATS leafs w/ Wheeler's AAL and overload spring, Toyota Gloss Gunmetal TRD Wheels, Toyo Open Country AT3s 275/70/17
My BIL has those wheels on his 4Runner. I’m hoping he’ll get tired of it soon and I can snag those wheels off him. Then I’ll have 3 sets of wheels, you know for emergencies…

Yeah I didn't know any better. It was fun for about an hour. I'd like to go back off season.

    Thanks. Used it last night.
Wife and I got a night away while grandma and grandson hung out. Not to push for the DC but the combo of the deeper bed and taller topper is so roomy.

I'm not sure that I want another First Gen Tundra. It would be unlikely that I find one in this condition and I don't really want to restore one again. We'll see how the access does for now.

It used to be, if you ordered direct from the originator, TEQ Customs, they offered an option to paint-match for a small upcharge (like $100 or something IIRC). I don't see the option at their site.

TEQ kinda got boned by the company in mainland China they contracted to produce the grille for them, so there are a lot of copies being sold direct to the consumer for far less than what they made. More info over here. Really messed up situation.

Yeah I saw that messy situation. And no I don't think they paint anymore. I was hoping that @Tlar25 maybe figured out another option

Every time I've lived somewhere flat it eventually drives me crazy
Previous owner had the grill and chrome mirrors paint matched by a body shop is what he told me when I bought it

You oughta visit Merus and Palo Duro Canyon more often. If I lived there I would be there as much as I could stand.

The tundra was too reliable. 2800 lbs, 180 hp, 6 speed manual. So much fun.

Probably due to safety standards and a bunch of extra shit to break. The vintage ones are super light. Love to get one of those.
