my first bike was a 83 xr200r! I bought it used around 1993 (back in high school). Though i currently have a quiver of ktm’s, i still think that xr was still my favorite bike of all time.

Clearly AI, but just a note to say, that exact early-gen grille setup with the later-gen bumper is what I was going to do with my truck until my current sports grille floated across my FBM feed.

Oh, and AI is getting a lot better with trees and such.

Very solid possibility we may be buying a house in coastal Maine, and hour or so north of Portland, within the next 1-2 years, depending on what comes to market. Given the way things are accelerating climate-wise the past 5 years, and how nobody gives a fuck, or wants to blame it on "weather control magic", it's looking like it'll be Carolinas temps up there by the time we sell our ATL place in the next few years.

Just a note to say: My doors are textured on the lower 6-8" from the factory. And that's not even really bad in terms of peel, I've seen cars brand new on the lot with just as much texture to them.

Funny you mention this. I went to California Autobuff after buying the truck, I think within the first 12 months of ownership, and the owner Mike quoted me $800 in pre-COVID dollars to polish out my truck (it may've actually been $1k, but I'm going with $800, I still have his quote and biz card in my center console to chuckle at occasionally). He was shocked when I told him it was single stage paint, and showed him the test area where I took a mild compound to it to make sure I could get results.

Anyway, needless to say, if you told me there was somewhere in town I could go, give someone $400 and have them polish and re-seal my paint professionally, I'd probably book it for myself. There are a few small spots in seams and body lines that are showing a little bit of haze because I didn't go ballzout with sealing after polishing. I went to California Autobuff because Mike has done a few of my friends' higher-end cars and did amazing work - they do exceptional stuff, I've seen them make a really bad angry-ex-keying-car totally disappear from 5ft out. I was just disappointed that, on something as basic as an aggressive polish and seal job like my truck needed, they were getting too close to that 4-digit $$ mark for my comfort. So I did the work myself. Granted, my suspension ended up being the same thing, people wanting 4-digit $$ to install struts/coilovers and uppers. Total madness.

See, I'd really like some heritage stripes, but I don't think it'd go to well with my color setup.

A guy out on the west coast named Omar (Dr_Omiz here on IG and over here on YouTube).

Was running 37s in that pic, IIRC, I believe he's scaled back to 34s or 35s in the last year or two, maybe?
