If you go with Talons Garage spend the extra $$ and get aluminum. I love the plate, but their powder coat need to improve. I ended up sanding and coating mine in rhino liner.

I have the RCI Aaliminum/powder coated on my 2024. Good quality, easy install.

The aluminum talons garage plate is good. My two issues with it however is the logo is a giant hole, which I would prefer to be covered. Secondly the bolts they use for the oil filter access are tiny hex head bolts that will corrode/rust and prevent removal with a hex tool. I’m going to email them soon and ask for the thread size so I can put proper bolts on

M5 0.8 is the thread. I think they are 25mm long.

Does anyone know if the either talon or RCI skid plates work with the OEM towhook kit?

RCI said it should, haven't heard anything from Talon.

I second this. As well as the main bolts for the plate to frame. The button head is too light weight. A regular bolt (like what is already being used by Toyota) or a standard socket head cap screw is a better option.

The front required some trimming. We have not been able to make any modifications yet to our design to work.

Technically those button heads are stronger then a grade 8 bolt according to our supplier.

Right on. Thanks for the info. Is it just minor trimming?

Sorry OP, not trying to hijack.

The two front corners had to be trimmed off. I can't seem to find the post or PM where I saw it right now. It looked like a 30 second job with a angle grinder and cut off wheel.

IF you are going with raw aluminum the cuts will not be affected any more then the rest of the skid plates.

Do you already have the tow hooks?
