I thought it was because of the new generation of Tundra.

Any thoughts on a carfax that has "body electrical checked" 3x when it was relatively new? Price and mileage is pretty good (2018 SR5 CM, $36k, 44k miles), says one minor accident also.

I could think of a bad ground, or mouse biting a wire for that. Does it mention a fix at all? Both of those are innocent enough. If the guy did a lot of "custom" electrical though, I'd maybe pass.

I think it said a headlight was replaced eventually. But, the electrical check was when it was brand new then a couple times after that, up to about 10k miles.

Saw a nice 2018 limited, with 25k miles for about 40k. Gone today though, they sure don't seem to last long.

Nothing in these trucks regardless of year is a big deal to mod a fix minus the nannies. You want them (you should).

Interior and trans cooler is easy and probably sub 4k all in.

I have a 2019 sport. I redid my entire interior and love it. Trans cooler will come whenever I do a supercharger.

Get a clean low mile rust free truck. Mod it to make it yours and don't half arse the mod or rush the job. This site is littered with tons of pics and threads to support my thesis.

Im still lurking around. I stopped and looked at a 2019 at a local dealership recently. I noticed the front tire on the drivers side was quite worn on the outer edge. Doing a bit of googling I see that it is perhaps a somewhat common issue? I assume all tundras of this era don't have this issue? Is there any definitive fix for this?

an alignment? Rotate tires? Am I missing something? I've never heard of that issue.

I just read it. Looks like 1 or two people had an issue and the two big factors were low tire pressure and poor tires from OEM. If they have the stock tires and the previous owner wasn't crazy about their air pressure that could be the problem. Maybe some others with the issue or more info will chime in.

Same here, although I haven't installed my cooler yet, and it's a '20. I love the pushbutton/keyless ignition/fob. And for $55 I made my CarPlay wireless as well. It's not perfect, but it's good enough for now.

Sharing because it could possibly go for a decent price, but given those steps and hitch, I'd be asking the auctioneer for photos of the entire undercarriage and I'd be doing my carfax checks before even registering for the auction.

Even if not an option for you OP, sharing should someone else find it of interest. Those are surprisingly low miles and I've seen auctions either go for silly cheap or crazy high prices. A deal MIGHT be had.

Well I came across a 2019 CM, TRD Pro in voodoo blue. Dealer is asking $43,500, with 92k miles on it. Seems high based on the mileage, and 2 accidents, which it lists in the carfax as the first one:
    • Damage to front
    • Damage to left front
    • Damage to undercarriage
    • Damage to left side
The 2nd one appears to be minor.

But it looks really nice in pictures at least. :)

I wouldn't touch anything that says damage to undercarriage. Too great a chance it was frame damage.

    None....
I'm a little confused I know a few 21's and none of them have had repairs just maintance. I guess the 19's and older had negative repairs? And too many people say get a 3 to 10 year older truck over a newer one because of Trans coolers. But if you tow you can add one. I'm also waiting for the my 19 to 21 trans failed because theres no cooler thread. It's been 6 years but....

I added a cooler in my '21, I tow as well so I felt that add was justified. When the kids are out of car seats, I am looking to add katzskin leather w/ heat & cool, give it a nice detail, an "interior refresh", truck will look and feel brand new.

Do yourself a favor and use the filters on the websites that rule out any accidents and damage. Don't even give them a look. Lot's of "nice" looking trucks out there with serious damage underneath.

Too bad you aren't in TX: 2021 Toyota Tundra SR5 for sale in Plano, TX - CARFAX

Probably doesn't have any rust. The price is so low (being a TRD PRO in LR) that I'm a bit skeptical, maybe a smokers truck?

    One owner, clean carfax

    Bone stock LED's, adaptive cruise,et....
$39900 and they put new yokohama geo's on my request because the originals were 6 years old.
That was Feb of this year, added a couple things and now haw 12k+ miles
I'd travel without concern but that's my comfort level, not everyone's:)

Found it in Westerly RI @ Valenti. They sold it new and had the "story" to explain a 6 year old truck with no miles!
    Love it:)

Advise you be patient and focus on the cleanest/lowest mileage/youngest truck with the desired configuration you can find. 2018s are seven years old, and the factory cooler in anything after 2011 is not that great in any event. You can sooner add a much better cooler and your own head unit than make a truck younger.
