What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

I made the decision to open the ring gap to handle up to 30lbs of boost. It will likely never see 20. Looking forward to having the truck back in the near future.

Once you pop your cherry on the 1st mod its all down hill from there. 1st comes the 1st simple mods then comes many excuses and asking for all kinds of forgiveness from the ol lady

 

JR, I don’t know if you’ve seen others mention it elsewhere in the forum, but regarding the TRD accelerator, there is a lip/ring around the shaft circled in the pic below that you think would rest on the interior fender wall to create a seal, but Toyota may have changed the air box size a little bit in the 2.5 gens, and to your point, if you try to use the ring as a seal, you can’t bolt down the front air box bolt. Most of us push the ring through the hole in the fender, and then the front bolt can be tightened down. Yes, a little gap is there where accelerator goes into the hole, but I don’t know if it affects actual intake temps significantly since you’re still not pulling air directly from the engine bay. So you basically have to choose, either sealed and no front bolt, or push it through and bolt it down. Of course I might be talking out of my ass since your Stillen box might have a different situation going on. I hope this helps.

Napa covered the new front replacement rotors which pulsated slowing down from highway speeds after 15K miles. New pads not covered but installed.

 

Land Cruiser blower motor upgrade. Moves air a lot better than stock.

 

They come preset to their highest setting right out of the box.

 

I'm going to install the Fumoto valve on the next oil change coming up. I like your setup!!

Sam you will like the Fumoto valve.I have one on my 2020 Tundra and the wife's 2022 Tacoma.The first oil change on the Tundra was a struggle with the plastic oil filter housing being waaay too tight and had to remove it with a 1/2 drive impact. Luckily I had already purchased a metal housing so I swapped it out with the correct center tube.All is good now

 

I may switch over to the aluminum filter housing as well. The plastic one has been fine but I like things to be stronger than they need to be.

That was my thinking also especially when it wouldn't come off without force.I was afraid of the threads being damaged.Dang dealership did a presale service and had a gorilla doing the oil change.... Lawd

 

Be sure to get the right one (Toyota OE), not any type of aftermarket brand, and ensure it has the right tube length. I ended up going back to the plastic OE. Edit: I also change my own oil so I don't worry about over-tightening.

 

I've had one of the aftermarket housings for over a year and no problems

 

oil problems don't occur quickly.
