Anyone had rear diff go out? I have only 75k miles and clunking noise from rear end when shifting from D to R and R to D, also same clunking noise when letting off gas and then hitting gas again. Any suggestions or similar problems?

I would look at the U joints first.

Replaced the rear u-joint yesterday and it was definitely broken, but still making clunking noises, but a little less as loud.

I’ve seen the cross in wallow out the carrier causing the clunk… drain your diff fluid and see what comes out.

Drained it and it was flakey and no chunks.

    It’s p
might be the cross pin then. Put it in park and try to spin the drive shaft by hand at the pinion flange, you can tell if it’s a u joint.
